Behemoth Announces New Album Title As "Evangelion"

Front man Nergal of Polish metallers Behemoth has issued the following update about the name of the band's upcoming ninth studio album:
"I've had this title in my head for almost a year now and it grew on me. It sounds nothing but powerful and epic which perfectly mirrors the essence of the new album. Evangelion comes from a Greek word ‘Spreading the word of God' or ‘spreading the good news'...oh well, you already know that we love to play with the meanings and symbolism. We're here to show you our interpretation of what Evangelion really is."

Praise be the word of Nergal--so let it be written, so let it be done *beats chest twice*.
I wonder if Nergal has been excommunicated yet?...He was raised Catholic (been there) and has explosively rejected said upbringing...
I think I'm going to triple my music expenses from last year...I have a feeling "Evangelion" will be in my top 10...even top 3.

@RememberMetal?
I remember seeing somewhere that he has filed for a formal apostasy from the church (apparently you can do that), to make it all official. Then again, i was raised hindu, i dont really know how the church works.

I dont' think anything has been leaked yet. A lot of bands are being really good about keeping their new stuff from getting online unless they have some sort of a hand in it. From what I've heard on the studio vids though, this album is going to just comepletely destroy. It sounds WAY more technical than anything that was on the Apostasy.
HAIL BEHEMOTH!!!!!

In response to post 12, yeah the fags still do excommunication. It seems they've only been excommuncating priest kiddie fiddlers and stuff though. I think they might be scared sh*tless to f*cking try it with Nergal (not that he would care), but they must think it means a lot to him... ROFL! Well it might provoke a few church burnings/bbq's so I guess they stay away.

Nergal is such an a$$hole.
"Spreading the word of God" cynical bastard that he is, one can see in plain writing exactly what he means by that statment. Sarcasm, to an extent, a smirk to the last.
I f***in love behemoth. I havent drooled this much over a bands next release since...well...never. This is the only band that I fear may live up to the hype my mind has surrounded them with. An album better than Apostasy? dare I hope for such a thing?
