Metallica Announces More North American Tour Dates

Metallica has added several more shows to their tour schedule for North America later this year. A message from the band reads as follows: "European Summer Vacation, part 2,347 will end on August 2, so that can only mean one thing ... more dates in the US and Canada! We just rocked Austin at SXSW and are super psyched that we'll be back in North America visiting our friends in the Fall as the World Magnetic Tour keeps rolling on. We had an amazing time on the last run in '08 and early '09 and we are so ready to do it again!

lol @ 420. yea i know. i have tons of friends who will go. ill have fun raggin'em all about it. who knows, i may even try to score some tix off the radio and go. ive never seen metallica live. way back in the ""20th century"" (wuhahaha) i bought tix to see them but my ride never showed up. i even bought him a ticket and he didnt show up!! but i know i will not pay for this show! the bobcats arena is directly across the st from the charlotte bus terminal in uptown charlotte. i could ride the bus to the show. but, im saying 99.99999999999% im not going!!

Mastodon opened for Metallica at Wembley in 2007 and they were really good. I've never been a fan of Mastodon but after seeing them live I have alot more respect for them. Also that day was Machine Head and... H.I.M. I'll let you do the maths and decide who the better band was!

Branded stay true to you but at least at somepoint tell the "NUBBIES" as I call them that Metallica is still one of the best live bands touring. I will see them when they come to Nashville and it will unbelievably be my first time.

Branded is saying the same thing he's said since day 1. He was one of the first people I kind of connected with on this site. Our tatses in music are very similar, and I am also from NC. He's always said that he liked Metallica from Kill 'em all to the self-titled release. To be honest alot of people here share his opinion, but might not be so vocal about it.
I have to say after all the stuff that has been written, I honestly don't know what it is you are trying to accomplish here, Rick. The members of this site, including Branded, are pretty decent people. We are very accepting of other metal fans and actually love to see new faces around here. We are a fairly tight-knit virtual community, we all tend to frown on blatant negativity, and as you noticed, we all do tend to stand up for one another. If you'd like to be a part of that, or just come here to talk music, that's great. Other than that, I'm not sure what else we can do for you.
