IN: You don't need to tell me anything about the CFL. It's where good football players go to die. It's either the CFL or the Raiders (sorry Shredder). I think Kurt Warner was about the only thing that ever came out of the CFL and realized any success. I think there was also a famous Dolphin that went there for a while to smoke weed, but he still hasn't done much since he got back. Besides... What the hell is the CFL trying to prove with their lame a$$ field anyway?

Well, I used to be one of those people who put down therapy. That was before I sat in on Family Sessions and saw some people who needed outside intervention to keep from imploding. I feel that it does get overdone at times. I also know some people who depend on it, thereby stunting themeselves emotionally. It's a slippery slope, but in small doses it can really help. Some Kind of Monster trivialized the process by turning it into a spectacle to make money. Robb and Adam sitting in on a private session seems like just what they need. They have been in a band together and friends for so long that they might openly fight but will skirt the real issues. Almost like it's better to take a punch in the jaw over hurting each other's feelings. As men we tend to externalize rather than deal with an internal issue. Sorry. Getting long winded :)

As for post #1 -
Bg1 says her brother-uncle wishes he was in a7x...
Hell, there's no need to wish for that... how do you think she learned how to blow..?
Y&T - Dont tell me what to wear

Dude. Comics are my bread and butter. I'm very familiar with the Surfer. As a kid one of my favorite books was Adam Warlock. I've always gravitated toward the more galctic or cosmic style stories. Must be all that acid :)
Reed Richards is one of my all-time favorites though. I love guys like Ted Kord (Blue Beetle), Hank Pym (Ant-Man), or Ray Palmer (The Atom). I like the guys who have to use their brains over brawn.

Netro - again with such an amazing use of the English language..!
Bg1 - Um, Warren Moon came from the CFL if Im not mistaken... And he had just a bit of success in the NFL..!!
And actually Kurt Warner, played for the Iowa Barnstormers in the Arena league, he was quite successful with them.... Thats where he aquired that knack for such a quick release.. Those are
some fast moving games..!! Its too bad that the 09 season was canceled :(
22. writes:
Netro: I agree completely. It's eveident that they hit the wall when Robb said he was quitting the band (obviously Robb was pi$$ed, how do you quit your own band? lol.). Adam and Robb were always the best of friends every time I've had the chance to party with htem. Those two were joined at the hip. I know Robb was really dissappointed to have to tour the Blackening without Adam when he broke his leg last year. I think they'll benefit from it and go on to produce three more albums at least.
godlike: You're thinking of her daddy-grandpa. Age before beauty brother. lol.
Bruno: I think your Fins are gonna end up with Ray Lewis this year. If so... Look the fvck out!!!

25. writes:
BlindGreed- Damn straight dude, Dolphins in '09!
Netromancer- Right on man! I have the first 13 issues of Warlock's 1992 series. I have even been considering getting a tattoo of the Surfer. I have in mind some art from Fantastic Four #40 something or other that got me into comics all those years ago.
Godlike- That's right Warren did come the CFL
26. writes:
28. writes:
godlike: They said that before and Ray Ray said NO! lol. We'll see. I think if he goes anywhere it will be an easy fit like Bruno's fins. Fitz was high on our draft list three years ago, but the Eagles couldn't seal the deal. He IS a monster. No doubt about that.

40. writes:
BlindGreed/Kali- Are you two referring to the Traitors? I was glad when they moved back to Oakland. Supposedly the Minnesota Vikings might move to LA. I would support that team based on the name alone.
Godlike- You had to bring up food didn't ya :) I haven't eaten a damn thing all day

60. writes:
Shredder- you been to any shows lately dude? Couple good ones at the Key Club coming up. Deicide is next week, and in March the Armored Saint/Death Angel tour is coming to the venue. The one I am really excited about though is Morbid Angel just added a gig there on their way down to South America and they have already said it will be the only LA show in 2009. I am a big MA fan, so when i get paid on Friday i am going right to Ticketbastards to pick up a ticket.
63. writes:
Kali - I listen to a few BM bands...not on a daily basis though.
Bruno - I was planning on going to the Deicide show @ The Key Club but, I will be extremely busy that day. Now what's this I hear about Morbid Angel coming to LA?...when will this happen?...
Gore - I've heard a lot of positive remarks. I'm definitely picking it up.

Bruno - Once I get the cash...I'll go get a ticket. Thanks for the Info!
Gore/Jenny - lol...both requesting the same info. I don't blame you though. Morbid Angel kicks major ass!

Shredder- Anytime dude!
Jenny/Goregrinder- As far as I know it the LA date was a spur of the moment thing that they just booked. They are leaving the US right after the show. Now that I think about it I believe they are going to Mexico City to open for (check out this line up) Maiden and Carcass. I am pretty sure they have a new album out this year, so maybe they will change their minds and give us a full US tour.
72. writes:
maiden morbid angel and carcass?? omfg now i regret being polish ;( but I've seen behemoth, celtic frost and slayer on the same gig that was f***ing awesome, tomorowz gonna see soulfly, just waiting for the part when they gonna play sepultura songs I get shivers just thinking about it. never seen soulfly live hope they're good
79. writes:
i was never a fan of cob but cc and obituary these are great legends of death metal and they r supporting because englisg people have a sh** taste for music, when slayer camy with the unholy alliance tour some of the dates were supposed to be headlined by trivium cos they are so huge here ;/ luckly they realized that majority of fans would wolk out the building after slayer so they changed the schedule.

Hey y'all just a quick hello before going to bed. you know I don't have the luxury to go to bed late because a little someone (little Red) will make me pay for it tomorrow morning...and she likes every minute of it.
Alright so see you all tomorrow and stay out of trouble but if you're in trouble, roll in it !!

#17: ahahah, did you know there's actually classes on how to give blowjobs? I don't remember where I heard about it, but there's public classes where they teach you how to give one. Personally, I think the only thing that belongs in my mouth is food.
Little Red sounds cute... heh I remember when I was little I used to throw watermelons at people.. yea I was a pretty strong little girl. It was a fun hobby. I also used to attack people from behind. Actually, I still do that to some friends. I also really liked fire a lot and still do :P

Yeah Inferno, she's cute as heck, I mean she's daddy's little girl. she still isn't aware that she will be confined to home until she is 18...I don't trust any boys at ALL.
Kudos to Diamond Oz on his review of The Answer album. I went and checked it out and it is everything he said it was. A great hard rock album, sounds like a classic to me. Thanks for making me discover that band, I am grateful. Godlike would love it as well.

Red - Oddly enough, Ive heard the Answer... And YES, I do enjoy them quite alot..!! Havent heard a song that I disliked yet... I was kinda thinkin that the singer wouldve made a great replacement for Robert Plant, if the Zeppelin members wouldve continued on with a project with him..!!
Gonna try and get that email sent off to ya today..?
IN - yes, Ive received your answer and will reply a little later in the am... It happens to be "me time"... now that the ol lday has left for work, and her son lives the life of a coon...so at this point in the day he is sleeping soundly with his TV blaring..
Which means I get to crank some tunes or play with myself as loud as I want \m/

Shredder: There is no fan base feared more then that of the Philidelphia Eagles my friend. As long as I'm at Lincoln field, anything goes. Back in the day at the vet, Eagles fan's pulled the mascot from the Redskins into the stands, beat the hell out of him and threw him back onto the field with a broken arm. We also pelted Santa Clause with water bottles, beer bottles and snow balls. THAT is metal!!! I do however owe you a thank you for our birth into the playoffs this last year.

since this is the chat thread, ill let you all about what i went through last night:
i live directly beside the bojangles arena here in charlotte nc. last night Slipknot, Trivium and Coheed and Cambria were there. i was on the back patio 420ing and could hear the bands playing in the arena, i live that close.
at 1 point i had to go meet my wife at a nearby busstop, and had to walk directly beside the arena. the equipiment doors were open and the sounds of pure sh1t were oozing out of it. we walked by as Slipknot was onstage and we could hear corey pumping the crowd up and all. the sheep-knots were loving it apparently. we had to go through a certain parking lot to get home, and there were 3 guys leaving early. i asked what they thought of the show and they said that Slipknot has had better ones than last night.
i want to thank kalis for helping me get through it last night with her kind words of support over the matter. i texted her and told her what was up. she sent lots of support for me to get through the horror!...lololol

branded - hey man, good to read ya..!! Yes, Im still alive.. I got your last text while driving down the interstate... cant really answer at that point... just kinda space em off after that...
With a stroke of luck, my drug test was postponed long enough to still enjoy some herb when Im not on the road... like now for example ;-)-~ ~
Sorry to hear about your experience... something like that will ruin a buzz in a heartbeat.!!

Can't even use the RAM cause of they F'ed way they made their sticks. So my best hard-drive sits here useless because I can't even use it's pieces to build another. Hate sharing a computer. Did somebody say that I'm a Raiders fan? Correction: I'm a HUGE Raiders fan--going all the way back to 1977. It's been rough these last 6 years. Hopefully it will turn around soon but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the Raiders will suck until Al Davis dies. It might be a while but I'm patient.
How's everybody. I'll probably me a more infrequent visitor. I'm trying to cut back on my beer consumption and that's when I'm most sociable. I'll try to stop by every so often though. You're a fun group.

Yeah, XBox 360 and hard-drive all in one week. During the day it's fine cause I got sh** to do, but at night it can get boring. I don't watch much TV. Guess that's why I'm here all the time at night. I have a Wii, but have yet to find any good games for it. None that I like anyway. Got it for my wife cause she wanted the Wii Fit. At least I'm practicing guitar and bass alot more lately.
112. writes:
Bolt: You and I agree on the Al Davis subject. I've been an Eagles fan for a little longer then you've been a Raiders fan brother and we still don't have a Lombardy, so I believe we can both also agree on what it takes to be patient and back your team through good times and bad (the definition of a true fan). Much Respect!
117. writes:
I forgot about Clemmons. Davis has sure let some good players go. And then he'll turn around and overpay for unproven players. Makes no sense at all.
My main memory is the throw to King and how much stickum was all over the place. That was the last stickum game played in the NFL.

119. writes:
Bolt: Lol. I forgot about that (stick-um). Clemmons didn't do a whole lot for us last year, but I think that was due to his injury. He should make an impact for us next year. I think the classic AD statement was last year when he claimed he didn't know who Kiffin was. I think he was being serious when he first said it. Then he remembered that it was the head coach he hired and played it off like he was trying to be funny. The man has lost his mind. Anyway, much respect to you my friend. You are a true fan. BTW, so is godlike (KC Chiefs).
120. writes:
Great! It's nice having the Chiefs in the AFC West right now.
Oddly, Herm Edwards, the recent Chiefs coach, was the DB on the TD to King that barely missed knocking the ball away. I guess it's all one big football family.
Anyway, there are lots of football forums, maybe we shouldn't take the greatest metal forum over for that purpose. Or maybe we can designate some other band as the defacto NFL chatroom.
122. writes:
Football.... Bullet for my Valentine? Ahah I shouldn't be helping you folks out, considering how much I hate football.. heh.
Godlike: have fun with that eh. That kid sounds quite lame, and I wish I'd get the chance to be that lazy lol. I was in a rush to get a million things done today, sent out copies of my resume while walking out in heavy rain for an hour, and now I have to call my lawyer about some papers I don't know how to fill out... she's just as confused as I am on this particular matter, hahahah.
I also have to go through a lot of Crabbe today to write about it. Thank the stars I've already read this before.
123. writes:
Speaking of which, Crabbe is a great Canadian book. You guys have probably not read it before, but it's quite incredible. It's about this genius senior high school student who loses it because his parents and his school stress him out a lot, so he runs off into the woods and he learns a lot about himself and functioning as a human being, mostly because a lady named Mary helps him to learn all these things.
126. writes:
A Game of Thrones. In fact anything by George R.R. Martin. Best fantasy series I've ever read. It's not fairies and elves. It's much more about the political and social maneuverings of royal houses. Not childish or kiddish in anyway. Very violent, sexually graphic and characters die. The problem with this series is that now I have trouble with any other sci-fi/fantasy novels because nothing seems to compare to them.
127. writes:
Nice, the best series I have ever read was Piers Anthony's Incarnations of Immortality, there are 7 books and each of them are about a particular Incarnations that controls everything...these are Thanatos (Death), Gaea (Nature), Fate, Mars (War), Chronos (Time), Satan, God. They are actually REALLY good books. They aren't the elves or sh** like that either. Give them a chance Netro lol.
129. writes:
You are actually the first person that I have ever heard to have read them lol. My favorite was Bearing An Hourglass or On A Pale Horse, as well. Have you read any of his other stuff? The Xanth series is really interesting, but gets dull after like the 9th or 10th book. There are like 27 out right now! It's ridiculous..
130. writes:
IWABO you might like Crabbe then! I love it so much... read it a couple of times. It's by William Bell.
I'm not much of a reader of fiction, so if I read a piece of fiction and like it, it has to be quite special. The Pearl Harbour Diary of Amber Billows is really good... I remember reading that when I was younger, but I got so into it that I read it from beginning to end in one go.
131. writes:
That's what I do with MANY books I get my hands on, if I'm in the mood to read a lot lol. I'll give it a try man! What are your guy's favorite Gojira album? Or what is the best in your opinion? I'm listening to Terra Incognita right now for the first time and it's f***ing awesome!!!
np - clone - Gojira
132. writes:
I read On A Pale Horse and maybe the second or third one in the series a LONG time ago. I can't even remember much about them except that Death drove a kick a$$ car. I read the first 6 or 7 Xanth books before they got repetitive. I think I read some of the Adept series.
The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant was my favorite fantasy series.
136. writes:
It does my heart good to see metalheads having an intelligent conversation about literature.
IWABO: What about the second thirty years war? There's a lot of people and events to cover in there so you could start there and pick and choose what you want to write about. Sort of "hone it in" once you find something you like you know?
148. writes:
134 - haha, wayyy too busy: I have narratives to write, lawyers to deal with, jobs to find, places to look to rent, all the cool stuff us youngins do these days. This is my idea for my big writing class project (I think it's really good): I'm a pimp in the Bronx. In the story, my best friend is going to be my top hooker, and her boyfriend is going to be her "best customer." My writing class teacher is going to be the detective who's going to take us down, especially since I'm also a gangbanger who's taken down witnesses from his past cases. Hah, maybe I should use some people from MU to make it more interesting and doable. I suspect I could use Shredder as a drug dealer, hah! Sorry Shredder, you asked for it because: you're Mexican (last I heard, or maybe I'm crazy) and 2. the "Grim Reefer" typo.
Actually, don't do with Mein Kampf. Unless you're a psychology student, you're not going to get the best version.
158. writes:
Lady, I'm not exactly a big fan of you either.
.....................
Well anyway, to clarify further for those I've talked about this with, I have to write a 20-page single-spaced narrative that has to act as the first few pages of a real novel. My teacher said I could write about anything, even if it includes stuff about gangbangers, so I decided to write something that includes gangbangers. Me and my best friend (the hooker in the story) have always had this joke thing where I'd pimp her sometimes and she'd joke to be a hooker (long story on how THAT started) so we thought we'd make something of it. However, I can't go on making a story of our joke for 20 pages, so I decided to include my teacher in this, and some girl she hates, and her strange boyfriend. If anyone wants to help me improvise here, it'd be much appreciated :P

You guys have a far larger metal/hardcore/punk movement that me so I'd expect some of you to be hitting up gigs every second night. I'd do it if I lived in the city. I try and get down to as many as possible all around my state.

Wiggles: During concert season, I usually catch at least three (big) shows a month. I do catch local acts as often as possible year round. That usually ammounts to one a week.

Im more of a dog fan myself, Ive raised several Great Danes for the last 10-12yrs, but there is a cat in the house...I call him "Roid" cause he has been a pain in my a$$ for years ;-)

godlike: Yeah, I love doing that song live. I actually had a guitarrist that played with us for 2 years quit the band because of that song. It seems he finally took the time to listen to the lyrics and realized that there is a statement about consumating the passing of a victim by "fornication with your corpse". Being a newly brainwashed Jahova's Witness he decided he could no longer continue with a band that made such unholy staemets regarding the dead. He said "you change the words to that song or I will quit the band" to which I replied "Seriously?... Then get the fvck out". lol.

BlindGreed- For some reason your last post reminded me of the band Korn
Goregrinder- I am seeing Satyricon tonight.
ZT- Agreed. The days of Fred Durst telling people "It's my way or the highway!" have long since passed.
Godlike- Has it Joe Montana who went to the KC at the end of his career?
245. writes:
Bruno - Indeed it was Joe Montana's last couple seasons that were spent in KC.. The last one being the one when they got to the AFC championship game against Buffalo.. Bruce Smith knocked Montana out of the game... Dave Krieg came in and fumbled the ball away as usual... Buffalo won and went on to another losing Super Bowl..
It was also the same time period that Marcus Allen was finishing out his career in KC too.
Niel Smith and Derrick Thomas on defense... The 90s belonged to the Chiefs as for their season playing...they sucked in the playoffs... every damn year :(
Bg1 - might get a chance at some point to get an email sent your way... started stripping my Charvel this morning.. Decided to make another "wanted" guitar to use as another sample for future selling purposes..??
Kali - its nice to read ya this morning.... and after skimming over the previous posts from last

Godlike- That's right, I forgot Marcus Allen finished his career with KC. I actually was rooting for KC in 92 or 93 playoofs to make it to the Super Bowl because Joe Montana was the first quarterback I ever idolized and Marcus Allen was one of a handful of players from the Raiders that I respected (plus Al Davis hated him so that was one more reason to like him). Did you get my e-mail yesterday?
Goregrinder- I will throw the horns up for you tonight when I see them.

Blind - your comment on the slipknot thread, thanks for trustin me dude, they were good but it just seems that they are very hit and miss - more miss than hit. I got lucky I guess.
On the other hand, saw Soulfly on saturday. Possibly the best show I've ever been to. Better than Maiden, Slayer and Ozzy Osbourne. It was in a venue that is generally sh** - bad crowd interaction usually, and for the opening bands it looked like it was gonna be another crap night. Then they hit the stage - Max came on in a balaclava, can't even remember what song it was, crowd mobbed the front. Sooo good. They got a member of the audience up to play the tribal drums, and Max stage dove at the end - right beside me. Best night in a long time for me.
I have soulfly's albums and they're ok, nothing amazing, but live - fvck me sideways, mindblowing.

And dude how can I get on your gayspace? I managed to get Kali and JSin but I need to add you, Godlike, AP, Irish...and everyone else who has a myspace! I just got one and want my MU amigos to be the first (and probably only) people on there.

237: By that I meant that they give out certain parts of the book that they don't to the public. Some parts were cut out because apparently people thought it would incite "strange ideas" (I don't recall exactly what these strange ideas were but we can only assume what it is). My reason has nothing to do with a person's ability to understand the given material; rather it is about information specific people are given access to. However, obviously when people will have opinions, they will also have negative ones. If I really hate a specific book, I may tell a person that it's a waste of their time and discourage them from reading it, unless I feel that I know the person enough to know that they'd like it despite my opinion. ;)
Has anyone here read any magic grimoires? I've been getting curious about those things. I've been learning about various forms of witchcraft, and the idea intrigues me. I'd like to read one with necromancy.

IN: The version I read was fine. A damned good read in fact. I also had no problems understanding any of it. I believe it was well worth the time I invested in it. Furthermore, I would suggest it to anyone who likes to read historical books because it gives some insight into one of the most feared and hated geniuses in the history of our planet.
Regarding your inqury: My first suggestion would be to ask Kali, she is very knowledgeable of those types of books but... There you have it.

Well, what you could do is back up your data then reformat your hard drive. If you keep pressing F11 (though not frantically) when you turn your computer on, you will eventually get sent to a screen that will have that option available, though it can be a pain to get it done. I think it will have something that'll ask you if you want to reformat fat32. Hmmm... you know what, you should ask a computer technician, heh. I don't want to be liable for mistakes :P Reformatting solved my problems in the past though.

From now on, I'm just going to respond to the post directly above mine and ignore the rest, so that I can take things entirely out of context and i can f*** up whatever everybody was talking about. :D

Fvck Michael Bay!
Kali- What's up? You have to really be the series to watch anything past the third one. They are what they are. A good drinking game is to have a drink or shot for every murder/titty on the screen. Another great drinking game I have played is to watch the movie Bad Santa and take a shot or take a shot everytime Billy Bob does. Halfway throught that movie I was f***ed up!

The whole state has sort of chipped in. Both my girlfriend and my work have been making meals for the firefighters. Mum and dad gave a big box full of stuff like toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap ect to the charity thing.

Fire sucks. Water does too. Lost houses to both of them now. But fire is easier except that you can lose pets and maybe loved ones more easilty than with floods. At least with fire you don't have to repair since usually the structure is a total loss. With water however, you often have to repair at your own expense.

Well, I can't compare it to the "Americana situation" because I don't know exactly how much worse it is down there. However, it's not too good... not many people were hiring, but I managed to use my goofy charm on some people and considering how many places I've applied to, I'm bound to get a job somewhere. In fact, a man named Maninder noticed my job-hunting skills the other day and HE asked for MY resume (apparently him and a friend recently opened a financial company in the city and they were looking for workers). Let's hope I get a call from one of the many places I've applied to. I'm STILL applying to a bunch of places.

IN: ya that's the same situation of how it is down here. It was hard enough to get a job for me anyway down here, but I applie to like 30 or 40 places and three or four places pretty much guaranteed me a job over the holiday season. then the stock market crashed, and everybody panicked, and everybody called me back and told me no deal. :/ I was just wondering if it was just south florida that was hit this hard, or everywhere, when you mentioned you were job hunting. I guess trying to get a hold of the big picture right now.

It's quite bad here... I'm going to make 30 copies of my resume to give out soon... wish me luck eh :P I bought a badass suit today just because I thought it'd help me with jobs.. lol.
So anyway, I have a couple of funny comments here. I recalled a situation on Friday where I was in the grocery store. Basically, I saw a bunch of middle-aged men lined up at the flower section with all of them holding lots of flowers in their hands. Looking at the scene, I couldn't help but laugh a little. THEN one of them looked at me, then looked down in shame as he was holding the flowers. Lol
I also got my mom an incredibly ironic gift yesterday (since she doesn't have anyone to give her a gift at this point). My mother always bugs me about how my dad never bought her any flowers, so I got her a vase with a design of flowers growing from soil. The problem is, however, that because this vase is quite tall and narrow, you wouldn't be able to grow flowers properly in it.
I love ironic gifts.
