"We had a great time in Gothenburg shooting a brand new video for the song The Path to Decay, taken from our upcoming album. Also, is it me but does it remind any of you of a really gay French perfume commercial? It's like they did this just for Chanel...

I don't know if it's just you, man. There's so many wannabe goth-metal acts with a hot singer out right now they seem to blend together. Nothing here stands out with any originality. It's not bad per se, just not enough to keep my interest.

I love women. I just don't think being hot gives them a free "make music" ticket. I don't listen to Beyonce just because she's hot and I'll treat this girl with the same courtesy. Or lack thereof. However you prefer to call it.

Tim, if I did "appreciate a good-looking woman," I'd technically be gay. :) And I agree wholly with Netromancer.

I don't. Perhaps I wasnt as clear as I meant to be. I just don't think any music is worth listening to just because the chick singing is hot.

I guess what I was trying to get across was the fact that you seemed to attribute the music to how attractive the singer is. Maybe the gay thing was a joke, but I just don't see how the logic behind that stands. I don't listen to Lacuna Coil, Beyonce, Evanescence, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, etc. I couldnt care less what the singer looks like as long as the music was good. If I wanted to watch a hot chick writhe around on a floor I'll watch porn, not a music video. Not trying to argue here, I just don't see how music appreciation applies to whether anyone likes women or not.

Hey i understand...i listen to Sara Evans for 3 reasons, i like her looks, she is a good singer with some pretty down to earth songs, and i think she is good looking.

But with that said, if she was an ugly bag i would have a very hard time getting through any video no matter how good the song was if she didnt at least have some visually pleasing qualities.

My daughter listens to Dokken and Sugarland, so imagine me in the car having to listen to Sugarland cause my 7 yr old daughter wants it on....lol....

No worries, bro. I don't watch too many videos, honestly. The ones I prefer are either live recordings or studio tracks to a live performance. I feel the same about driving anywhere with my neice and being forced to listen to Avenged Sevenfold and Bullet for my Valentine. She still surprises me with the occasional 80's thrash band though, god love her :)
I guess I just hear about how great some female fronted bands are then when hearing them I realize they are mediocre or sub-par to and getting by on the looks of the singer. I tend to be suspicious especially of music from this genre as it seems lately this is where I usually find said bands. Not to say they are all bad, but lately the media seems to be especially accomodating to hot female singers despite their talent.

First impression: The beginning of the video was pointless. My favorite part was the guitar solo! I didn't mind parts as long as the girl was not in it. I liked watching the rest of the band play.

Overall nothing great, it was sorta 'meh' and I pretty much just enjoyed the sound of the guitar solo. Not much else.

Like I said as well, it's not BAD. Just nothing to set it apart or rise it above countless other bands.
