Ex-Necrophobic Guitarist Working On New Material And Comments On Gorgoroth Court Case

Ex-Necrophobic guitarist David Parland has created a new MySpace page detailing a new project he is working on. He issued the following statement:

"To begin with, the main reason with this Myspace website is of course nothing other than to provide you with information about what I am up to...

Since I literally have been out of the scene for some good time and living under a rock (wasting even my own creativity and a lot of time), I for some strange reason feel NOW is the time to restart everything. Why exactly now I do not know, but I work on 'if it feels right...it is right.'

So the main reason for me reaching out again right now is because of the new music band/project I am creating. This is right now in the making. There is sadly not too much I can reveal at this moment, other than 1) it will be a return to more of a Death metal style with Black and Thrash metal influences. but it will be brutal and Catchy and very melodic. 2) Tomas Asklund (ex.DARK FUNERAL/DISSECTION/INFERNAL is the drummer and other core member, and right now we are in the songwriting process).

We will put up excerpts from the coming demo here in a couple of weeks, so check back later for this. This will be followed by an album in late 2009, with around 8-9 tracks.

As for what name this band/project will go under, we will see...all we have tried to come up with so far are either taken or exist in similar forms. but it will be solved what we will be called. This is the least problem right now.

Lastly, I will NOT say happy new year or anything stupid like that. The world is a big disaster right now ....."happy year"... FOAD!

My final concerns are right now that Infernus /Roger Tiegs will win the upcoming Gorgoroth case this month. If he doesn..t, it..s a shame and this means that who everelse can steal a band name , regardless of position in a band and regardless if you are the creator or not. Even though it might be a complicated situation, I still say FUCK OFF to the Gaahl/King ov Hell led version.

Allthough I do not know these guys, it is pretty obvious that there is really nothing SATANIC about these guys. Who the fuck can believe in this fake theatre?

as well, as I get more familiar with the Myspace thing/interface I will add music and so on, but I yet have not got the hang of all these new applications... but it will come soon."

Hope it's still tech deth, it'd be a shame to go from Necrophagist to everyday chuggity deth metal. So long as the dimarzio d-activators are still in that guitar though, I don't think it can sound anything but sweet.

Also, I totally agree that Infernus should be able to keep Gorgoroth. Cultism is complete BS, and it seems that that is the only reasoning anybody has that is backing Gaahl. Don't get me wrong, he's sweet and all, and his ideals are l33t, but none the less, the bandname is Infernus's...
