They blew me away on the Dance Of Death tour which was the second concert I'd been to. For a long time I thought they were the best live band I'd seen but I've seen plenty better since. Second time I saw them was a one off show in Hammersmith on the Early Days tour which was good but a little disapointing that it was so concentrated on the first four albums, especially considering I don't believe Bruce can sing the first two albums aswell as Di'Anno. It was good though. Third time was on the Matter Of Life and Death tour, the album was pretty good but nowhere near as good as the one before I thought. But I was less than impressed at them playing the whole album start to finish and playing only five old songs. Fourth time was at Graspop this year so I didn't pay to see them exclusively and wasn't even going to bother watching them until I decided that I had sh**all better to do. They were good there too but considering they were the last band of the three day festival, I was pretty knackered and when they announced the next song was "Rime Of The Ancient Mariner" I decided I wasn't in the mood to hear a thirteen minute song about an albatross and went back to the tent.
In conclusion, I may be spoiled when it comes to seeing Iron Maiden but I've also seen Onslaught, Skindred and Fozzy four times and they always blew me away. So... whatever.

Oz, "Rime Of The Ancient Mariner" is probably my favourite Maiden song, I can't wait. Plus this is the Somewhere Back In Time setlist so that's going to be pretty classic.
"band flip", lol, MU is developing it's own memes now!
Now Playing: Earth - "An Inquest Concerning Teeth"

It's amazing how something so simple to some people is a truly amazing thing for people who never got to see Iron Maiden. Some people never consider how lucky they are to have seen this band live, cuz other people around the world thought that would never happen in their lifetime (or at least not for a long time)...think about it (for those of you who have seen Iron Maiden ) not ever having the opportunity to have these guys play live in your area...?! I'm SO happy for the fans who will finally get to experience this.
