British Supermarket Apologizes Over Use Of Rage Against The Machine
British supermarket chain Asda has issued a public apology after one of their staff members played the Rage Against The Machine song, "Killing In The Name Of" during the stores opening hours. The shoppers in the town of Preston seemingly were not too happy about their local supermarket airing a song which contains the word "fuck" sixteen times.

Considering Asda mainly is filled with mothers and old women, I wouldn't imagine it'd go down well at all. But really, they were right to apologize over this. Plenty of little kids get brought into Asda everyday and I wouldn't want my kids coming out of a shop screaming "f*** you I won't do what you tell me" when I only went in for some bog roll and bread. Just 'cause some little nobhead doesn't like his crappy job, doesn't mean he can put on a song where he knows how much swearing there is. And you know he was giggling his arse off as he put it on too.

Bruno: All these faux socio-political bands are ignorant. They rant and rave about how unfair and unjust we are, yet they don't realize that people have died to give them the right to spew their anti-American sentiments. SOAD are right in the mix with this group. The only difference is SOAD managed to have a few really good songs.

I don't see what the big deal is.....I personally wouldn't have a fit over it, I would tell my child "See, that's what decent music is, not that whiny new music about who f***ed who and how said person f***ed the other person." Now, old ladies on the other hand with say their grand daughter....That's a different story. Whoever said just cause he didn't like his job so he played that, that probably isn't true. He played it cause it's good music lol.
There is a radio version of the song he could have played though. >.>

American Patriot- It is funny, SOAD and RATM usually get lumped together, but most Rage fans hate System and vice versa. I am evidence of that. I cannot stand Tom Morello. The guy wears communist sh** all the time and is open about his support for the Communist Manifesto. I really do not understand why he does not move to Cuba or China.

Rage kicks ass, and im not "anti- american", neither are they, they are against the f***ed up government( who really is f***ed up). They dont bash the men and women who have died for this country. Your Facts are twisted.
PS- system sucks d***, fa**ot a$$ sounds like a goat being f***ed in the ass.....f*** SOAD

Bruno- sorry i am not as mature as you, nor will i ever be.............Eat a d*** dude, you dont always have to sound incredibly mature on a site about metal. Who really gives a sh**? And second, if we are talking about eachothers sentences, how about "You also like korn also. I rest my case" First mr mature, how many times are you going to say also, in one f***en sentence? And second, that made no sense since we were not even talking about korn, so way to make no point! And if your point was to say" haha korn sucks, so your an immature idiot and i rest my worthless case" ! Way to be so "mature" yourself, like i havent heard the phrase korn sucks on this site before, real original you sh**head!
PS- Kali, i dont know what one sounds like, but i bet if a goat got raped, it would sound something like the way serge sounds!!!!

What is all this 'Rage is un-American' sh*t? They point out what's wrong with country in hopes of it improving. You're not going to get anywhere if you just talk about how perfect the US is a la Sean Hannity. All that does is breed complacency and to quote countless signs in Iraq "Complacency Kills." Personally, I find it refreshing to hear music with an educated political opinion that goes deeper than "F*ck Bush" or "F*ck ____"

Well Bruno, the answer to your question is simple. If they were to move to communist Cuba, not only would they not have freedom of speech, but all the money they currently have, would be transferred over to the state. Then they would be put in line like every one else. Alot of people ask that question of people who dislike this country. If they moved, they damn sure wouldn't be able to speak their minds like they do now. Jane Fonda said she would move to Italy if McCain were elected. Good riddance b****! I'm no fan of McCain, but that would've been worth the whole ride just to have her stinkin' Communist a$$ outta here. Also, China is now a Republic, but just on paper.

I agree with a lot of RATM's lyrics. probably because i'm liberal, but whatever. and Communism isn't that bad either, AP, just the leaders of the groups that have used the name. China is basicaly a capitalist country to. Socalism also isn't that bad. I wouldn't mind it if the US was socialist. at least our economy wouldn't be as fvcked up as it is right now.

Drummer: WOW. Ask anyone who has come from a socialist or communist country and ask how that system worked for them. You know, I hope you make a million bucks, so the socialist govt. can take the vast majority of your money and dole it out to people who did not work for it. I will be the first to say that corporate and political greed have gotten out of hand in this country, but it is still a far cry better than any other system out there. Let's examine communism for a second, shall we? The govt., in their infinite wisdom, decide all by themselves what you will do for a living, where you will live, how much you can make, and what you can or cannot say. They will direct you to stand in lines for a ration of food that they decide on. Not by how much you want or can afford, but what they think is right for you. Yeah, sounds great.

In a real communist government political music like Rage's would be illegal and they would probably hang the Tom Morello's in the middle of the town just to make an example.
When did become cool to be a commie? Are people that afraid to get off their asses and work!
Communism is probably the most evil form of government there is, so I guess it is metal!
