"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Download Festival To Remain At Donington

The organizers of Britain's Download festival has posted the following message online:

"After much speculation, we are delighted to confirm we’re back at Donington, loud and proud - just like a Marshall Amp turned up to 11!

"Ever since the first ever Monsters of Rock in 1980 Donington Park has been the spiritual home to pure and unadulterated heavy rock music. When we started Download in 2003 we had no interest in changing that rich history and that feeling still remains strong!

"We are also delighted to announce that Download 2009 takes place over the weekend of 12, 13, 14 June 2009. If you are one of those people who still keep a diary, smack it in there now! Otherwise tattoo this information on your arm now (please note the Download team takes no responsibility for anyone silly enough to do this!)

"So to recap. The 7th year of Download in 2009 is 12th, 13th, 14th June at Donington Park, Castle Donington Derby, England! Tell your friends.

"Keep one eye, at all times - even when sleeping, on downloadfestival.co.uk for our on sale and line-up announcements."
