Exodus has posted the re-recorded versions of "Metal Command" and "A Lesson In Violence" online at their official Myspace. The songs come from the bands new album "Let There Be Blood" which is a re-recording of the bands classic 1985 debut album, "Bonded By Blood." The album will be released on October 28th.

In addition Gary Holt, founding member and guitarist, has released a comment on recording "Hell's Breath," a rare track from the band's 1980's demo. "Hell's Breath" will be a bonus track included on the Let There Be Blood release: "When Tom and I finished the drum tracks for Let There Be Blood, we had a half a day of studio time left, we tried to come up with something to record with the spare time we had. One thing led to another, and next thing you know I started playing the opening riff to "Hell's Breath", which is when we both said "Hell Yeah!" Funny thing is, neither of us had played the song for two-plus decades, so we were going by memory on the exact arrangement of the song. It wasn't until I started deciphering my old lyrics from some live MP3's that a friend had sent me, that I realized we had gotten the original solo section wrong! Just slightly different, but overall, this one came out so killer, almost makes me want to track some more of those old classics!"

Thrash f***ing rules, I was pretty skeptical about the rerecording but that wasn't bad, solos were great. Metal Command!! Can't wait to hear "Bonded by Blood" and "Exodus". "Bonded by Blood" is one of the best albums the genre produced.

I was pleasantly surprised by it too. I'm looking forward to this album, not as much as the new Sepultura or AC/DC albums but I'll pick it up when I have the money.

Yeah, I like what I hear. I overlooked Exodus back in the day mostly due to vocal delivery, but my tastes have broadened quite a bit since then. I see nothing wrong with the vocals here and the music is good quality thrash.

I give them credit on a successful re-recording, but Gary slamming my work the way he did is uncalled for and only shows his own arrogance. Many people, including Metallica, really enjoy and admire the production sound that Death Magnetic has, so Gary can pretty much blow me.
