Celtic Frost Becomes Officially Terminated

Band Photo: Celtic Frost (?)
Triptykon/ex-Celtic Frost mainman Tom Fischer has posted the following message online:
"The intense rain outside continues unabated, and, far in the distance, the torn, grey clouds merge with the earth, obscuring any hint of a horizon. A fitting scenery to a final act of ignominy. I attended seven and a half funereal hours of meetings yesterday, initially with Celtic Frost/Triptykon manager Antje Lange, then including Martin Eric Ain and Celtic Frost's accountant, to discuss in detail the dissolution of most of Celtic Frost's business arrangements and the distribution of the group's remaining assets. What an infinitely doleful and emotionally draining undertaking, and one I did not ever wish to witness. And yet one that was probably unavoidable."
Fischer initially left the group in April of this year citing internal conflict as the reason and taking all music he had been writing for Celtic Frost with him to use in his new band, Triptykon which also features original Celtic Frost drummer Reed St. Mark and Dark Fortress/ex-Celtic Frost touring guitarist V Santura.

oh pulease, spare me ^^^ they had a few good albums (prob when u ^^ were 2)...but they suck now & at least they've done the right thing instead of beating a dead horse (like shtallica).....you go ahead & meet those old men with open arms....i bet they'd much prefer open legs & a shut mouth.

^see, all you had to do was stop at "I may be an idiot". You invalidated any point you could possibly make after that because you were stupid enough to call yourself an idiot. I wouldn't have called you an idiot before, I just thought you were an a$$hole, but that last statement just made me laugh so hard for all the wrong reasons.

hey, fck_a_name, every time some one says somethin to that girl you jump in. how bout minding your own fckn business, i ain't talkin to you. so why don't you just go fck yerself. i mean wht'dya think that you come to her aid so she'll blow you or something? your name sounds tuff so you're probably a lil pansy boy, so stop tryin to act tuff cuz obviously you're not, ya fckn loser
12. writes:
Actually, were you to pick on ANYONE else, I would gladly jump to their defense you moron. The two times that you have picked on her for riduculously insignifigant sh**, I decided that you needed to be properly told off, you a$$hole.
btw, the logic that "because my name sounds so tuff I must be a pansy, actually immediatly disqualifies itself, in that YOUR name means you're a grumpy a$$hole, and you're obviously NOT a happy friend-to-all, so by YOUR methodology, because my name is tuff, then I guess I must be. Thanks for the compliment.

13. writes:
listen kid, your terminology is obviously distorted, & you are obviously a stupid kid who thinks he's some one special. again, go f*** yerself. again, i was not talkin to you in the first place, so fck off. like your friend that you have so adamately defended has said in the past, it's easy to sit behind your keyboard & talk sht. but I can tell just by the wat that you write that you're a pssy & that you've always been a pssy. I bet that you got picked on in school & locked in lockers & had your head stuck in toilets. so why don't you just shut the fck up cuz no one cares what you have to say.be lucky that you sitting behind a keyboard miles away you fckn fag......loser
15. writes:
The way that I write makes me a p***y? You mean educated? or with proper grammer and spelling? Actually the way I write makes me egotistical, I've been psychologically evaluated and that's what the results turned up, and I could have told them that before the test were even taken. Hands down I'm an a$$hole who thinks he's better than everyone around me, and it shows in how I express myself. So shut the f*** up you ignorant assuming twat.
Once again, btw: so why don't you just shut the fck up cuz no one cares what you have to say.be lucky that you sitting behind a keyboard miles away you fckn fag......loser
This statement, along with several others before it, equally applies to you as well. "It's easy to sit behind a keyboard and talk sh**, blah, blah, blah." Well, may I ask, what the hell are YOU doing? If the answer is talking sh**, which it is, Then by what you said, you need to shut the f*** up yourself.
Do you really want to reply and give me some more hypocrisy so that you can tell yourelf to shut the f*** up again?

16. writes:
again, listen kid, you don't sound so intelligent to me. by, being "evaluated" you mean you've had to see a shrink, that's fckn weak. your silly. a little twit. you talk a good game but probably run when challenged. what a pssy. i'm sittin here laughin at you, defending some dumb slut you'll never bang, gettin pssed, writing paragraph after another TRYING to explain that you're not a pssy when it's so obvious that you are....what a loser.
18. writes:
Clever name, I must say, it definetly blew me away with how much that hurt my feelings to have my name reversed in order to bash me hahaha FUN-NY.
Listen asswipe, I'm taking college-course psychology, and the prof thought it would be fun for a friend of his to evaluate the kids in the class in order to put perspective on sh**. f***ing idiot.
And please explain to me how anything I said, or you said, made it so obvious that I must be a p***y? I just don't follow your incredibly brilliant reasoning.

both of you are pair of losers....1/2 of the time i see your comments on this board, i laugh. your both ignorant twits. mr. fck aname, if i lived closer to ya, i'd suggest that we both put on some 16 ounce gloves & take our argument in the ring so we could see who the tuff guy really is. but alas, you live in FL, right? and i'm in CT & i think you would chicken out anyways. but i'm still laughin at you. go home to your momma (you still live with momma ,right?) & tell her some big, bad bully hurt your little feelings on some gay message board. fckn loser....hahahaha

I'll stick up for kali because she is my American friend. And FAN because he funny. So you were calling them out for their views and calling them "retarted" and a "slut", it seems that you must have some sort of bad history with females and people smarter than yourself. Did your mummy neglect you after she spat you out? Did you get beaten by your aunt or sister? Does it suck knowing people like kali and FAN can actually get somewhere in life? Oh and f*** the gloves. How about a mouthful of metal from my knuckle dusters?

O-Matron, are you more of a black, death or thrash fan? You might go to the Celtic Frost myspace and take a listen to what they have posted. That will give you the chance to get more aquanted to them. With out knowing you very well its hard to know what "your cup of tea" is.

31. writes:
Im definitely more of a thrash head then anything else, (however in moderation I can usually get into most of the different styles depending on the band). But I will check out their myspace page and sede if its up my alley.

THIS SUCKS BALLS
why did they have to go, d*mnit
so good, so legendary, what got me into CF (Celtic Frost) was Circle of the Tyrants, which Obituary covered, anyway, at least Fischer is still in business with Triptykon, anyway Kali while I lean mainly on the death metal side, this year I learned to like and fully appreciate black metal, I even like black/death metal hybrids, like Acheron (actually I always liked those) always liked thrash, first thrash band I really like was Slayer, actually it was Megadeth, when they were good, I don't know what first hit me when it came to black metal, but first ones were Mayhem, Watain, Lord Belial, Burzum, Murduk, Behexen, hate it that Varg killed Euronymous, Dead, well blew his brains out, and bands Hellhammer and Mayhem made Necklaces out of the skull, Death Metal, I don't know what came first here, perhaps between Death, and Morbid Angel, maybe Death, what's strange about me is that I grew up Country, but later inverted to Metal, however I'm really the only member in my family that listens to our genre of music, well my uncle in his younger years listened to Metallica, early, not no god d*mned St Anger bullsh*t, or anything after the Black Album, now how did I come in to the scence, well my people were music inclined, which I believed was passed to me, but on one exception, I create Metal, play cover songs, write my own material, they played songs, that really had nothing to do with the scence, but still talent is talent, it was passed down which I create my own metal music, yeah my story is strange but true, and when i get my $10000 worth of equipment, I'll start recording music where some of my musical counterparts started, Morrissound Studios, Flordia, everyone has dreams, mine is to be an accomphlished musician, never let go, if so you let go on yourself, remember you got one life make it count, anyway guess i'll hear from the band Triptykon, that's all folks, peace out
P.S. Man that was a long message

Metal has been around my family since metal began. My uncle toured with Slayer back in the early days while another uncle was like a kid in the candy store going to see Black sabbath and Iron maiden. My own parents saw everything from Zep to Yes! So, very naturally listening to rock, and classic metal in my Mums whomb, I was drawn to it like a fly to a zapper. Began small with a long obssesion with Aerosmith and then lo and behold, metal TRUE metal began to seep into my album collection and into every fiber of my being. Pantera since I can recall was one of my firsts and Metallica was aswell. That was what I thought was brutal and nothing heavier could possibly exsist! Then this completly insane band Slipknot found its way on the radio and KABAM! I felt a ton of bricks hit me in the face and loved it! I wanted to find out if heavier was out there! Now my band list is pumped full of the finest of the metal gods. That is my story Blackdog. Glad ya found metal! We welcome you with a good ol spike in side!

Well Riff, admitedly not a ton, and not near as many as I want. Having parents who were by no means dumb to what goes on at shows kept me home and I admit that my grades not being a's and b's did not help that at all either. As an adult and having to pay bills before fun stuff makes going to shows not that easy. I have mamaged to attend 2 RockFests (that includes Static-X, Godsmack, Saliva, Puddle of Mud, Flaw and a TON more I cant recall every band) and 3 tours (which includes: Rob Zombie, Ozzy, In this moment, Ministry, Meshuggah, Hemlock, Middian, Minsk, and Ichemia). Many more planed shows and many more tours to come! How about you?

Well Kalis...I too was not allowed to go to shows until I was 16...
I got my first job and earned my weekly $250. Over the past 3 years I've seen numerous bands.
Slayer,Cannibal Corpse,Megadeth,Children of Bodom,Lamb of God,Arch Enemy,Amon Amarth,Mastadon,Himsa,Dying Fetus,Dark Tranquility,Divine Heresy,Thine Eyes Bleed, Sonic Syndicate, Firewind,In Flames,Blowjob For A Cowboy,High On Fire,
These upcoming bands are bands that I had to sit through due to my bro & cousins liking them...
Killswitch Engage,Despised Icon,Dragonforce,Through The Eyes Of The Dead,Chimaira,He Is Legend,The Red Chord,See You Next Tuesday,All Shall Perish, and a few more I can't remember....lol

I'm a little confused with post 58. I don't understand what those bands have to do with this thread and then RIP CF at the end. lol It's all good, just a little a little weird.
And I've been to 155 concerts so far, not including local shows.
That argument earlier was retarded but it gave me something to do! haha I also don't think that adults call people losers, at least I haven't heard it. Very immature on cantankerous's part.

you don't know how glad i was when i scrolled down to the bottom here and saw all that bullsh** from the top didn't make it down here haha.
As for CF, i'm not well aquainted with their music. But i do have 2 tracks off monotheist and one of those songs just bores the living f*** out of me.
"ohh gawwddd. why have you forsaken mee" (repeats like 5 times)

I shudder to think that a celtic frost member'll be lookin through metal sites, see the link about celtic frost being terminated on metal underground & 66+ comments, thinking wow all these posts, touching tributes to CF & next thing he sees is 2 douchebag poo punchers havin a slap fight on the internet cause thats what the cook thing to do is. Everyone has an opinion but f*** man you dont have to argue like fa**ots, exchange phone numbers & have a conversation dont bicker & waste space in a forum where we should be discussing celtic frost.

What's everyone's opinion about best songs? I just wanna download a few for a taste. I heard one CF song on Sirius Hard Attack but I don't remember what it was called. :p Also, lighten up people.....it's just a band....and someones opinion of them. If you feel they are the best band ever then argue your brains out. Just keep in mind you're never going to prove to the recipient of your written assault that Celtic Frost is in fact the best band ever. So save you breath...errrrrr I mean....fingers.

77. writes:
Monotheist is definitely the best... Ain Elohim being my personal favorite
It has been my pleasure to listen to the Frost for over 20 years, i was so excited when monotheist came out and i was not disappointed (cold lake ick!!) and now they are no more. theirs was a unique sound and Tom's often incoherent growling made it more so! Props to Tom for doing what he believes, but i remain sad with the knowledge that they are no more.
RIP Celtic Frost.... Are you morbid?

" i'm on a...mexican...radio..."
WTF was that? Celtic Frost deserved to die 20 years ago!!
I have a hard time justifying To MegaTherion with " i'm on a...mexican...radio..."
I MIGHT see it as a 18 minute delay like Exodus did with that banjo tune, kinda like a joke, but I've got a video of Celtic Frost putting " i'm on a...mexican...radio..." in their live set. They died 20 years ago via the ...mexican...radio...
84. writes:
mexican radio is a new wave tune from the 80's by Wall Of Voodoo. Tom "Warrior" thought it would make a good cover. He thought it so good that he put it at the 3rd spot of his set on his late '80's tour. Along with his hair spray and posing from Cold Lake.

where is Cantankerouse? have we scared him off? DAMN! I was laughing my a$$ off. I would've told him to go fvck himself, because he obviously never got laid, but I can't really say that because I never got laid lol.
I think that their best album is their 1st. I had to deleat it because my sister puts her sh!t music onto iTunes...yeah, Morbid Tales is probably their best. What IS their new stuff like. I want non sh!theads to answer this UNLIKE *cough cough* Cantankerouse.

Well it seems everytime i read the comments on MU all you guys do is btch and moan at each other, how about you all do one thing, get off your high horse and stand together, that's why sh**ty bands like Bleeding Through and As I Lay Crying are taking over, because true metal fans can't get along. So how about all of you shut up and unite to take on the growing threat.

I see what ur saying, but at times real a$$ holes get on the site n just bash on someone out of nowhere and we need to jerk around with them so they learn their lesson. We all have a love for metal: that is our stand, and no matter what we do metal with never get the respect it deserves above ground.

I know that person was being an a$$, but trust me, there are more people like 'em around.
Personally, I hope good metal doesn't go above ground: that's what makes it good metal. There are specific reasons for unknown bands: ONE reason being that they attract the fans they WANT to attract.
If it was all out in the open there would be nothing to discover, nor would anyone be interested into seeking an unknown band in as much depth if they were "mainstream". I find unknown/underground metal fascinating :)

Some f***ing people. Honestly. Wish the twit from the first half of this thread would come back so we can rumble some more! Oh guys give me some ideas for a birthday present for my friend. He doesn't like music. So that is out. I stole a huge box from work. It is so big that it won't even fit into the boot(trunk) of a car. Gonna fill it with dirt and bury presents in it. Haha

106. writes:
He doesn't like music? Then I would say you should give him a punch in the nose.
If you go through with the box idea, you should bury a stripper in it too, sort of a twist on the whole "cake" thing, and paint her face to look like a zombie. Scare the f*** outta him.
