From the samples, Metallica & Machine Head did an awesome job...although I honestly question some of the bands, I mean, all of the riffs are great, but some of the vocalist need some serious work (you'll know who they are,: but I do respect some o' them for their tribute.)
IRON MAIDEN RULES!!!
P.S. better than Gym Class Heroes covering Lamb Of God...

I was expecting A7X to do a good job considering they have great musicians (just cant write songs for themselves lol) But like post 7 said, chorus was very bad. Shadows vocols were horrible actually, so were the rest of the bands. Syn was pretty good with his solo i have to admitt.
Havent herd any others, but hopefully they'll be better.

Devildriver's cover ties Machine Head's for best on the cd. Black Tide actually did a decent job with an old favorite, and Metallica actually exceeded my expectations for once. Coheed should be ashamed of themselves for making the trooper sound like a pop song. I havent heard dream theater yet but im looking foward to it. Everything else was mediocre at best.

I actually hate Trivium, and I thought theirs was the best so far. Not really a Dream Theter fan, so I haven't actually bothered to listen to that particular track. Black TIde neither. Devildriver sounded awesome, and Machine Head was all good for me except a little weird on the vocals, since the dude decided to forego his gruff voice to try and sound like the original more. I liked the Metallica one, but i didn't realy get too excited about it at all...
I agree completely with post 7, and I shake an angry and dissapproving fist at post 11... Coheed is ALWAYS sh**, and this was no exception. I have yet to hear the A7x cover, but I have no doubt that they managed to completely f*** their song up as well...
Now Playin: Chimaira- "Left For Dead"
