Slipknot have posted a completely bizzare video online, claiming it to be a teaser for the new album. You can view it below and see if you think there are any clues regarding the new album.
The album is exppected to be released this August and the band will be performing at many large festivals including the UK's Reading/ Leeds Festival.

Well generaly speaking about 98 percent of nu-metal fans who have no real argument as to why they like a nu-metal are teens. Anyone who is seriouse about their metal knows their metal well and knows why they like a band wether or not they cbn articulate it. I respect more someone who may not be able to articulate why they like a band by saying something like "[insert band name here] rocks, dont know why, I just do and dont care who agrees!" fair enough! but keep in mind that band genres change. take as i lay dying for example. their early sh** is hardcore and now they are considered metal or metalcore, so all im saying is it can be hard to define a band by genre. Yes it only takes a little effort to find out, but most metal bands will also disagree with what genre we classify them in. korn doesnt even consider themself metal and i m pretty sure there is a munky quote stating that they dont just wanna be a Metal band and that they dont like being classified as so. also i mean personally i listen to metal, death metal, groove metal , metal core, nu- metal nintendo metal , hardcore and the list goes on... generally when some one asks me what kind of music i like i tell them im a metal head, i dont get all specific genre on them, i mean who really cares anyway what kinda metal anyone likes? to me as long as theres distorted guitars, and screaming/singing i call it Metal. and i will not make another comment about the age thing so long as i dont see that used as another baseless example of why texas crawford jingo jackoff is right as compared to some little kid, i mean seriously who gives a sh** how old anyone is, what does it matter?

apart from vol.3 sucking complete a$$ and the live album showcasing how terrible live they've become, i dont even want to hear the new album. i enjoyed iowa and disasterpieces but then taylor just got sh**ty at screaming and SK mellowed out and got real gay, writing tracks like "circle" and sh**. New slipknot bridges the gap between slipknot and stone sour. bad

Slipknot needs to stop it. just stop it. I'm sick of them. The only plus side to them existing is, once they are gone, there will be a power vacuum in the pop-metal world, that may get filled with some even more revolting. As a slipknot fan, I want them to give up already. I can barely stand any of their music anymore. Eyeless is pretty much the only song of theirs i will actually sit and listen to anymore without just getting p***ed off at the mediocrity of it all.
