3 years? Hurts you lol. Missed the good times. Korn hasn't been good for, like... a decade? Ever since they put 1 (metal) and 1 (hip-hop) together and came out with nothing. Ever since Follow The Leader, in fact. Although, I didn't mind Untouchables, come to think of it, hahah.

Hahahahahaha, considering all the people on this site and on this tread that hated Korn, may I ask why you singled me out ? At least I proposed an honorable and ecological solution to solve to problem of having to listen to it. Ah ! Well ! But of course ! You work for the ptrol conglomerate...you bastard !!!

17. writes:
lol i singled you out you red chord cause you started the KoRn bashing on this thread. I dont understand why ur even looking up KoRn news if you dont like their music. I mean who do you like? yeah Red chord is a great band but ......... KoRn is much more succesful of a band and im sure its not because they " sold out". listen man different strokes for different folks but dont f***in bash this band cause Korn f***in Rules!

Sorry dude forgot a letter in there it should have been petrol conglomerate...about the bashing, it's just fun. I mean I used to like Korn but they went in a direction that is just dishonest in their music so that is why I really don't like them. And of course Korn is a much more successfull band, back in the 90's they did some great things for metal with their first 2 albums. For example The Red Chord dodn't reinvent the wheel but they do sound pretty good and they are less accessible as well.
Ask anybody that knows me here, I like tons of different bands but Korn is not one of them anymore. i'd say that I got fed up with them with TALITM.
You can bash bands you don't like to dude, just cause it's kinda fun...Go Canada in the world hockey championship by the way...

Lol I hear ya but i mean as where you dont like the direction they took, i actually do and many others do. by the way no disrespect to the Red Chord... they r truley a great band. have you heard the new KoRn album though?.....not to say u will definately like it, but i find it to be extremely good. and it is pretty heavy, although I do understand where your comin from, not everybody liked the direction they went , but again some do. I mean for example i am a toronto maple leafs fan I know they suck. i may be faithful but im not blind, i do realize that KoRn isnt who they use to be but I still love theyre work. In Regards to team Canada... Nice to see some support! Go Canada Go!

23. writes:
Yeah I heard the last album and unfortunately I didn't like it...but it's ok if you like it. I knew you didn't disrespect the Red Chord but on other treads some people did and I don't really mind because you can't discuss tastes. But it's kind of funny to b**** a little bit...And I am a Montreal Canadians fan and Toronto will get back on track, they just need to stop trying to fix the problems through free agents and go to the draft. but that means you guys have to be patient...I know it sucks. And as for Team Canada, well the tournament is in my home town (Quebec) so it's awesome. I swear I went 2 times to see the games and it's beautiful hockey...The Russians are pretty packed on the attack but Canada will prevail...

Oh thats cool man! im currently living in Montreal. Do you know or like the Agonist? How bout despised Icon or 3 mile scream, cryptopsy? Im totally in to the local scene here. Montreal metal f***in owns! Ur definately right though drafts is the only way to build a struggling team. Rough series for the habs though, make no mistake Habs got a killer team and will do well in the years to come. \m/

26. writes:
yea im from toronto.. but GO HABS... but yea bashing can be fun most of the times.. but after a while i find it to be a lil bit repetitive... but there is the occasional ZING! haha i like korn but i can understand why people do bash them every now and then.. compare now to the early 90's, there not gonna ever be back there which is a disappointment...
GO HABS

Yeah the new album isnt weak at all, like i said earlier its actually pretty heavy... for KoRn. Killing is amazing and actually i like all the songs except the 1 pop song in reference to Head...the name of the song is blanking me right now. Well yeah i guess us leaf / habs fans will have to wait patiently for now.... although us leaf fans have been waiting 41 years now, oh well its baseball season for me now. Go Blue Jays Go!

32. writes:
Well its not for everyone. Honestly with the stress of my Leafs always sucking its nice to just get drunk and watch a nice relaxing baseball game. lol. Are you in to any of the local Metal that comes out of MTL? a Metal fest is coming to MTL it should be good, theres quite a few good bands playing

Me stoned and buzzed could not get me into baseball. If I am to choose a sport I always enjoy going to a fight and a hockey game breaking out. All others bore me to tears. Moshing could be considered a sport if you really think about it, sweat, physical exsurtion(sp?) and some people mosh better than others. No team involved really though.
Korn to me is one of those bands that lacks quality. They are not as bad as System of a down, but not by much.

Well to me it starts with well played insterments, a band that can deliver from start to finnish and on stage that has me wanting to hang on to every riff, beat and bass line is good. Take for instance Dimmu Borgir and Destruction. They move me and can keep me interested. Secondly well writen and thought about lyrics, do they speak to me and can I relate? Maybe as a teen that was just angry about everything Korn lyrics might speak to me, but as a grown up 23 year old woman find them to be juvianile(sp?) and not very well thought out. Thirdly the singer must have power and if its a male singer I like a manly voice and if female power and the ability to be sexy at the same time. Admitidly I am not easy to please anymore with my music. There you have it, the shortened version of what is quality tunes in my opinion.

I am truly all about whatever floats your boat, so long as your smart about it. One of the most annoying things is when the Korn fans who cant see out side of themselfs come on here and bash people who are just simply stateing their opinion and start their little wars over the fact that not everyone likes their favorite band. I guess when they grow up they will realize that in the grand scheme of things its not worth it. I say if you like em great, state it and talk to those who do or like you ask why a "hater" does not like them and be civialized. I will admit that when I first got here I was not always the best at that and was rude, but after some thought have stoped.

41. writes:
I'm not a big fan of hating, or sarcasm really.
By the way, thats really cool how with your nickname you spell "Canadian" with a "K" so it's like "Kanadian", (Like the way Korn spells there name right? Thats so cool).
It's really clever, and not to mention very metal. I would trademark it.
42. writes:
^LOL
I'm totally with Kali here, you can like what you like, and more power to yuh, but let's not be unintelligent about it. That goes for people who like Korn to people who like Behemoth or whatever, man, carry yourself like a mature adult and I'm happy for you. Act like a childish moron and I'm gonna hate you no matter what you enjoy listening to hahah.

Lol yeah thanks on the name Props ( ElHefe) ! I will have to look in to the trademark hahaha. and to kalis and psythe ur right most people are a 1 headed dragon and will likely blow smoke up ur a$$ if you have anything to say against them, i however love many different Genres of Metal it just so happens i personally feel that Korn is still extremely creative and i love the keyboardist they throw in to the mix its just creepy eerie KoRn and i love it, but again i do see why some may not like them. Also theyve had alot of haters rise against them along with losing band members i just feel they show alot of character that i admire by sticking with it. But im just 1 man with 1 opinion. Damn i wish they would come to Montreal! People check out this band please if you havent heard them before and tell me what you think of these guys. www.myspace.com/theagonist

Hey Kalis, I am doing fine thanks for asking. And thanks for the Jack...
And as far as being opposite, well, I think actually that we are just complementing each other, for you always need light and dark, up and down, beautiful and ugly, yes and no...otherwise you wouldn't be able to define anything. How would you know that you are happy if you had always been happy. Well you know you're happy because just before you were bored or suffering...we are both a necessity in this world and choosing Satanism doesn't make you wrong in my book. that is the way you chose and you accept whatever outcome it may bring to you, same thing for me.
And quite frankly, you are so nice, I'm sure you make tons of people happy your life.

The two shows when I went to see KORN- they were great. That is a given, Korn puts on great concerts...I can't argue with that. I am just tired of their sound, and Jonathan Davis' wailing....or whatever. They are extremely talented, however, after two to three Korn shows...I have had enough. The new album is pretty good. I like evolution, the best.
