Kittie Part Ways With Bassist Trish Doan Due To Medical Reasons

The following press release has been announced:
"With sadness Kittie has confirmed the departure of bassist Trish Doan due to a severe medical condition.
Doan has been diagnosed with the eating disorder anorexia-athletica-nervosa, which she developed during the recording of Kittie’s Funeral For Yesterday, Doan’s first release with the group.
“It breaks my heart to say goodbye to this family that has given me the best two years of my life,” Doan said. “I wish my time with Kittie did not have to end, but this decision was made based on doctors’ orders. Unfortunately this is the only option that will allow for my full recovery.”
Doan has been battling the disease for nearly two years.
“Trish is a part of our family and her talents and friendship will be missed by all of us,” said Tara McLeod and sisters Mercedes and Morgan Lander. “We are continuing to be respectful and supportive of Trish’s needs during her period of healing. We wish her the best on her road to recovery and will remain close to her throughout this difficult time.”

Did you quit school and quit living out what I wanted for my life? No! I fought it off while still going about my daily life. I dont want to see those fat c***s naked though. Let's also remember that not everyone reacts to the same stimuli or stress the same way, and not everyone has the benefit of a strong support system either. It's probably safe to say that someone on the road all the time likely does not.

I normally agree with you Deathbringer, but do think that ultamitely the band should be supporting their members. I think that if Kittie are not doing that then it says alot about them. I know the road is nonstop busy, but damn! If I had a band and was on the road I would do everything in my power to be there for my bandmates. The reasoning is simple, you dont take care of your bandmates your band goes to the crapper. Much like a car, it needs regular mataniance to keep it running smooth and when it does not get it, it breaks down. I doubt Kittie are reading our comments, so can we pretty please get our hatred of them out?? *bats eyes at you sweetly*

Kittie's fans are not unlike Mushroomhead's. They're vocal, loyal and more abundant than one might think.
I have a longtime friend for one who has and STILL likes them. I saw some Kittie shirts on some girls at shows by Ministry and Dillinger to boot. I don't get it myself, but to each their own--They could barely play when I saw them with Sevendust but that was 6 or 7 years ago.

Pretty much all eating disorders (Being the key word here) are all mental conditions the weak willed whiney person in question needs to sit down like "Hey, maybe instead of eating a god damn grape for dinner maybe I'll have some fried chicken" I swear to god man, the United States is the ONLY place on this planet that something like that could be considered a disease or a serious disorder. I am an anorexia survivor. I do feel that I am entitled to say whatever I want about this. Reason being is that it is easier than people make it out to be to survive it. I was 5 foot 7, 115 to 110 lbs and you could see every bumb on my bones. I did not drop out of school, go to any rehab and quit living my life to get over it. I went about my daily life and still got over it. I am 5 foot 9 now and 125 to 130 lbs and 8 years later still going strong. How did I do it? I toughened the f*** up and found foods that do make me happy and eat them. A doctor that tells a weak fragile girl to leave what she professes to love is an idiot in my opinion! I would like to add that at thdt that I fought off cutting myself at the same time as amorexia. I have the scars to prove it!

I did some research, while it may not be in league with schizophrenia (schizophrenia is a mental illness) it is on the same level as depression, where they are both psychological disorders. Anerexia Nerviosa is describes a disorder where someone will stop eating just about all together for an obsessive fear of gaining weight. While clinical depression is characterized by a pervasive low mood, loss of interest in usual activities and diminished ability to experience pleasure. Both are psychological and should be viewed in the same way.

At the time I was going through some very heavy things that I wont post here due to that it was alot of family issues that are long gone and do love my family with all my heart. I also had issues with peers in a hick town called Scappoose. It was mostly the family problems that caused my sever deppression. I am proud and happy to have gotten over my problems the way I did. Anti deppresants dont work by the way and did contribute to my self destructive behavior. The Kuntie b**** just simply needs to get over it and move on! Its not that bloody hard!

The kids kept messing about, shouting, fighting, like kids do but they were starting to get on everyone's nerves. The woman weren't much better. I could hear people mumbling to themselves about the kids behaviour so in the end I decided to say something.

Red Dwarf was quality. True British humour isn't nearly as well known as it used to be because it's deemed "politically incorrect" by mad lefty arseholes. That's why I just stick to the comedians I know I like. Plus the newer so called comedians get so much easy cheap pops from the braindead public by doing either one of two things. Namely making a crap joke about George Bush or insulting the older comedians like Jim Davidson. f*** younger British comedians. I hate them more than anything else in the world and they embarass the UK. If you wanna check out British sitcom at it's best, try and find Bottom. Probably the last GREAT British comedy. And that was from the early 90s.

I am also a fan of Absoultely fabulose! I love the drunk Mom and her friend! I think I saw on one of my Red Dwarf dvds something about Bottom? I will look into it some more. To me older British comedy was much more truthful and brutally so. My kinda thing! The older American comedy and even alot of the newer stuff never really did it for me. It has always either seemed way too toned down or just way too out there and too uncreative to be funny.

Yes! Actually The Young Ones is created by the same people who did Bottom and stars both Ade Edmonson (Vivian in Young Ones) and Rik Mayall (Rick in Young Ones). That show is hilarious and really unique. Other classic British sitcoms to check out is Fawlty Towers and Monty Python. Only Fools And Horses is really funny too but I think it appeals much less to an international audience.
