Tim "Ripper" Owens has joined a nu-metal cover band
Back home, in Northeast Ohio, Judas Priest singer Tim "Ripper" Owens is passing the time by joining a Disturbed cover band, The Sickness. According to sources, Owens is not the lone vocalist, but trades singing duties with another on tracks by nu-metal standards like Limp Bizkit, Godsmack, Linkin Park, Creed and Drowning Pool. In a more metallic vein, Alice In Chains and Priest's 'Green Manalishi' are also included. The band reunites Owens with bassist Dennis Hayes, from his pre-Priest days in Winters Bane, as well as Tim Simmelsberger from his first band, Brainicide.
