SEVENDUST has cancelled its participation in this summer's inaugural Rockstar Energy Mayhem tour "due to changes in [the group's] touring schedule," according to a statement released by the band. No further information is currently available.
Rockstar Energy Mayhem is being headlined by SLIPKNOT and DISTURBED, with some of hard music's most influential artists and a plethora of the genre's most exciting young voices completing the bill. The tour is set to kick off July 9 at the White River Amphitheatre in Seattle and will hit 30 cities in the U.S. and Canada between early July and late August.
SEVENDUST will be the featured guests on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline", hosted by Bob Coburn, airing Monday, March 17 at 11:30 p.m. EST/8:30 p.m. PST. Fans can talk live with SEVENDUST by calling 800-344-ROCK (7625). To find a station near you or to listen to the show live via the Internet, go to www.rocklineradio.com.
A brand new SEVENDUST song, entitled "Prodigal Son", is available for streaming on the band's MySpace page. The track comes off SEVENDUST's seventh studio album, "Chapter VII: Hope and Sorrow", which is due on April 1. The CD was produced by Sean Groove, Morgan Rose and John Connolly at Tree Sounds Studios in Atlanta, Georgia and will mark SEVENDUST's second release through the band's wholly owned record label, 7Bros. Records under Warner Music Group. The disc features guest appearances by singer Chris Daughtry, ALTER BRIDGE frontman Myles Kennedy and ALTER BRIDGE guitarist Mark Tremonti.

Yes - my friend already heard the new Sevendust album - he is very disappointed. He WAS a huge fan of 7d, however, and these are his words -"Sevendust is done". I never throught I would hear him say this. I agree - Sevendust has really mellowed. What happened to the type of songs on the self-titled album...it was killer.
