Blood Red Throne Affiliated With The Suffering

Hammerheart Records confirms the label's first priority release for 2003, the second album from Norway's Blood Red Throne. Titled Affiliated With the Suffering, the album will be available January 28 with the initial pressing to be a limited-edition digipak that will contain two bonus tracks.

Affiliated With the Suffering features nine newly penned tracks by the rising Norwegian metal band, featuring current and former members of Green Carnation, Satyricon and Emperor. Confirmed track listing includes "Unleashing Hell," "A Dream of Death," "Bleeders Lament," "Mandatory Homicide/Death Inc.," "Razor Jack," "Chaos Rising!," "Gather the Dead," "Affiliated with the Suffering," "Malediction." The special initial pressing digipak, limited to 3,000 for the world, will feature exclusive bonus tracks "Mercy Killings" and "Deadly Intentions." The album will also be available on vinyl, with a limited european pressing of 500 copies. The vinyl will feature an exclusive bonus track, Cryptic Realms.

Blood Red Throne was formed by members Tchort and Død in hopes of fulfilling their goal of creating aggressive and highly energetic music. With a combined musical background participating in Emperor, Satyricon, Einherjer and Carpathian Forest, the duo set to combine influences from bands including Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Gorguts, Suffocation and Slayer.

The band's debut, Monument of Death, was released to worldwide critical acclaim in late 2001 and has since release consistently found new fans. The band's new album is expected to continue to expand their worldwide fanbase while finding support throughout the worldwide metal community.

Advance play copies of Affiliated With the Suffering will be serviced to key media in late November, with an aggressive loud rock/college radio campaign planned to impact January 21. The label is looking to bring the band to the U.S. for a showcase performance as part of 2003's Metal Fests now in the planning stages.
