Megadeth Frontman Pitches In For Marines

Dan Lamothe of MarineCorpsTimes.com reports that MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine coordinated the donation of thousands of toys through the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation to wildfire victims in the San Diego area, including four pallets that were delivered to Camp Pendleton, California.
The effort was organized with the help of Hasbro Toys, which donated a portion of the thousands of games, block sets and dolls delivered.
Toy deliveries also were made to the chamber of commerce in nearby Fallbrook, California, and to North Coast Church, a Fallbrook church the Mustaine family attends, said Bob Leonard, chief executive officer of the chamber of commerce.
"He's this interesting paradox, with a family who regularly attends church, but he's still involved in that kind of music," said Leonard.
The toys were delivered to the church in part because there are 300 to 400 children of Marine families who attend and have parents deployed at Camp Pendleton, according to a prepared statement by the band.

I'm not a marine (I'm most likely gonna be on the Army), but most of the men in my family have been soldiers, so I know where the respect is due. My dad and uncles were Marines, my uncle was in Desert Storm. My [paternal] grandfather was in the Army and went to Vietnam, got the Purple Heart, and died of cancer due to expoesure to Agent Orange. My great, great, great, great grandfather immigrated from Sweden and fought in the Union during the Civil War, where he married a runaway slave and started my [maternal] family (as well as with some Native Americans). But yeah, Mustaine has my respect. And I'll most likely end up in the Army and get sent to Iran when we get into it with them this time around...

My brother in law is Army, his cousin a Marine I believe, my ex boyfriend from high school and good friend still is Army, my best friend Sven is Army M.P of 17 years, my great uncle was Marine, my grandfather was a Marien in Ww2 and professer for the troops, my other grandfather served as a paratrooper, and my aunt is in the Army though I dont know what exactly she does, my William was a Marine and injured in training, my friend from high school is Air force. Support the war or not, the soldiers are doing what they're ordered and they need to know they have a country of people that love and miss them and want them safely returned.

I am joining the army (Australian) next year. But from what I understand the structure of it is alot different and they take better care of you after combat or when you retire than the American army.
The root cause of this current world war is Islam. If they had accepted Israel as a nation instead of trying to destroy it then they wouldn't have brought countries like America into a war which its people clearly have the stomach for. People need to accept that the troops are there to saty so they should be supported.

It's the simplest terms I can put it in Satanism is a call to follow a moral code because man is the measure of all things rather than a god. Satanists worship/respect (based on which sect of Satanism they belong to) Satan because of his willpower not to follow the rules of god. They are as inherently evil as a Christian or a Buddhist or a Muslim or a Jew or a Wiccan (which is to say they, like all of humanity, are not inherently evil; it is our actions that make any of us so).
As for black metal, it's a shame you don't like it. Enthrone Darkness Triumphant is some of the most beautiful metal made. And if you don't like the Satanic content of it, check out Antestor.

txmetalhead black metal isn't for everybody. Not everybody is going to like black metal at some point and that is exactly how the original artists (Darkthrone, Emperor, Satyricon, Immortal, Burzum, Gorgoroth, etc.) that created it that like it. However it eventually became similar to that of death metal (which is what the original BM bands started the entire genre for as a rebellion against the "trendy" death metal bands that all sounded and looked the exact same) in which all the bands (with exceptions of course) looked exactly the same and sounded exactly the same and became a "trend" to do.

And if tx was referring to eastern Satanism then he doesn't understand it. There is nothing evil about Eastern Satanism. Western Satanism on the other hand is the usage as Satan as a figurehead but is atheistic.

I can't say I'm too into the original black metal made, but more modern day melodic black metal like Dissection (Storm of the Light's Bane era) and Dimmu have taken the original black metal and made it beautiful and destructive.

BM cd (behind Emperor's In The Nightside Eclipse and Immortal's Sons of Northern Darkness) but pure BM is my passion. I love the cold sound mixed with the incredibly fast tremelo picking and the tritones with the blast beats but the vocals are awesome. I love it when power bands incorporate a blackend vocal style as it eliminates the part of power metal i detest and replaces it with one of my fav. parts of my fav. genre.
