Hatebreed Frontman Working On Two Books

HATEBREED frontman Jamey Jasta has told Rock Sound magazine that he is working on two books for publication later this year.
"The first is a coffee table-type book," Jasta said. "It has all my HATEBREED lyrics in them alongside stories of how and where I wrote them and general tales from the road."
The second is a document of Jamey's three and a half years hosting MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball". "That book is more of a retrospective of all the bands and interviews we conducted, more of a look back," he explained. "I was so glad I got to do that show; somehow, with no TV experience, they picked me for the job over 300 other people who applied for it. Because of that, I met some of my heroes and got the chance to help out so many of my friends with exposure on the show. The book is all about that and the behind-the-scenes nightmare of trying to schedule everything with a full-time touring musician. There were a lot of flights."
Jamey Jasta recently spoke to Revolver magazine about the group's split with Roadrunner Records, the company that released HATEBREED's latest CD, 2006's "Supremacy". "They had a bunch of people on their label, and we felt we didn't get the publicity push that we deserved for our last record," he said. "We realized we need to go to a place where we can be the big fish in the small pond. But ultimately there're no hard feelings; the split was good on both sides."
Asked if HATEBREED is actively looking for a label, Jasta replied, "Well, first we're gonna do a separate deal for our DVD. There's always been so much red tape with DVDs, and we want to make sure we do it right. We're actually recording the majority of the footage over Christmas break during my label's annual Stillborn Fest. I'm hoping for a May or June 2008 DVD release."
According to Jamey, HATEBREED's next studio release will be a "covers" albums, which will include the band's versions of songs from such varied acts as CRO-MAGS, CROWBAR, D.R.I. and METALLICA. More information will be made available soon.

I second post #1, also, he probably should've waited at least 5 years to write a book, he doesn't really have that much experience in the Metal scene. Mind you, he has more than most, but not enough at this point in time to write ONE book, let alone two...
On Headbanger's Ball, He always reminded me of a teenage boy trying to do an interview, like they could've gotten some 16-year-old boy to do what Jamey did and you'd probably get the same quality work...

Jamey has done really well for himself. And posts 1 through three seem to me like the jealous type mad at the world for your inadequecies. I think billygoat213 is just mad because he didn't get a chance to be the host. Jasta has done great things for music. You don't have to like the guy, but you should respect all that he's accomplished. And if you're saying "I don't have to respect that" then just sit back and realize that he's done a lot more than you. Feel better.

post #3, that was random and made me laugh...
FiSH, I respect your love and respect for Jamey, and I see where you get your impressions, but...I beg to differ...And believe me, my inadequacies (whatever they may be) have NO EFFECT on my judgement of others, or my tastes...

Maybe you should stick to playing Dungeon and Dragons or World of Warcraft for 5 more years, and stop judging things you have no f***ing experiance doing ie being in a BAND. You f***ing POSERS! I dont even like Hatebreed, but people on this site are f***ing DOUCHEBAGS! SO STFU!

hahahahah, posts like #3 are why I love this site :) posts like #13 are NOT why I love this site :( lol
I -somewhat- enjoyed The Rise of Brutality. That's as far as I could get with Hatebreed. They're not special. But I can sort of see why people might like them. They have a fairly concrete sound. And the lyrics are awful, but definitely not the worst I've ever heard, hahah.

To post #13, shut the f*** up.

-----What the hell kind of idiot are you? You don't know a thing about me, and you're way off if you think I'm a gamer. And for the record, I've been in the DC Metal scene for the last 4 years. Even *I* don't wanna write a f***ing biography til maybe 20-25 more years (and thats if I get on a label and get more acclaim). So yes, I know what I'm talking about. I've been in 4 bands already, I've recorded 2 albums, I've done countless gigs. I've been playing guitar for 5 years, self taught, and for the last 3, I've been strictly playing Black, Death, and Melodic Thrash (and the many other ways you can combine the 3 subgenres). I don't even care enough about you to give you any more of my resume', but honestly, I'm a sick man, so I have time to post out of my usually busy schedule...
But yeah long and short of it, don't ever just assume on this site that the person you're trying [and failing] to bash is your equal, or your subordinate, because people like myself tend to prove the contrary. Show some f***ing respect on this site. MetalUnderground isn't just made up of pathetic teenagers and twenty-something+ basement dwellers (save Lord Agony if anyone remembers him). MU is also made up of hardworking men and women who put their sweat blood and YOUR blood into their art in the Metal scene. So to the person who posted under the handle "STFU", please, follow your own advice and shut the f*** up!

Jamey Jasta was the worst host ever. He couldn't conduct a decent interview to save his life.
