"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Disturbed Nearing Completion Of Fourth Album

The Pulse of Radio reports: DISTURBED has completed recording and has now moved to the mixing stage for its fourth album, tentatively titled "Indestructible". According to HardDrive Radio, the Chicago quartet is in Los Angeles to supervise the mix and meet with their record label to discuss the launch of the project. A release date has yet to be finalized, but singer David Draiman told The Pulse of Radio the band has a rough idea of its initial tour plans. "We're still trying to figure out what we're doing during the summer, but I know in the spring, when we start touring, the intention is to start in Europe with the European festivals," he said. "We may end up doing like a small warm-up run prior, I have no idea, we always tend to do that. But that's what we plan on starting the cycle off with."

"Indestructible" is tentatively due for release in the spring.

Draiman recently told RollingStone.com that the upcoming album's projected title track is "an anthem for soldiers" — specifically American soldiers fighting overseas. "It's meant to be something that would make them feel invincible, take away their fear, make them strong," Draiman said. "And that's what this whole body of work on this record does. It's music to help you feel strong."

Spotlighting the band's darker side, there's "Deceiver", inspired by one of Draiman's "really bad relationships," and the Edgar Allan Poe-esque tale "Inside The Fire". "That's a real racy song," Draiman admitted to RollingStone.com, "It's about me standing over the body of my girlfriend, who just killed herself, and the Devil is standing over me, whispering in my ear to kill myself."

DISTURBED's tour plans also include a fourth Music As A Weapon package in late 2008.

Props for the troops thing but I hope the whole album isn't about bad relationships and sh** like that. I like Disturbed's lyrics cause I can relate to him, so I hope there's a deeper meaning of some kind there...
But whatever. Pumped for the new album, Disturbed is sickly awesome.

So before all the angsty pre teen kids flame me for saying this, here is a disclaimer for all you ignorant pricks who think you're so right about everything!
!!!!!DISCLAIMER!!!!!!
-no, because i hate disturbed it doesnt mean i listen to emo.
-yes, i have a life. i come on this sight for 15 minutes a day tops. I look for news/cd releases on bands i like, if i find none, thats when i look for bands to bash, k?
-"if you dont like disturbed why are you on this thread making fun of them?" Well you basically answer your own question, im on this thread to specifically(spelling?)make fun of them. And you're not going to do anything about it.

Even though i typed all that thers gonna be at least 1 stupid a$$ who says somthing along the lines of the forementioned disclaimer. lol

Why don't you clear up why you don't like them instead of desperately trying to justify your actions.

It appears that i am the only one on this site who has a brain. All you ignorant morons with your p***y emo garbage probably can't wait for this album. But sophisticated and intelligent people like me know better than to listen to mainstream sellout has-beens. I've been listening to heavy metal music for 7 years now. I've been to Ozzfest once and i have AC/DC's greatest hits. So just shut the hell up and let the grownups discuss the topics.

I am in no way a fan of Disturbed. I don't like anything Mudvayne have done since End of All Things to Come or whatever it was. Slipknot were listenable on their debut album. All the rest is rubbish. Acca Dacca are ridiculously good, much like Phil Collens.

And I liked Vicarious Intent's post 9. Well said.

I'd be ok with it if the members of Disturbed never made another sound for the rest of their collective lives, let alone another album.

Now Playing: Kansas - "Dust In The Wind"

Dark_Funeral: Please do us all a favor and quit posting your daily jargon. I'm tired of reading all these back-to-back flaming jobs that you get yourself into. I'm on the site everyday as well, checking up on any news of my favorite artists as well. I run into one of your disrespectful posts almost every other day and I'm a little sick and tired of it. If you had respect for the site, you would quit posting about how your "a metal fan" with a 7-year history and your likings for AC/DC. Nobody cares about your daily life. They would respect you more if you would post something related to the topic. Just a thought.

On topic: I'm looking forward to Disturbed's "Indestructible" album. It seems like the band is rearing back to some of it's old antics, looking back on "The Sickness" for their motivations.

I dont own any ac/dc cds. i do not think everything i listen to is godly and everything everyone else listens to is crap. Im open minded. i listen to lynyrd skynyrd NWA and Cannibal Corpse. There are probably "true-er"(?) metal fans then me out there.

i appreciate the genre. I do not appreciate this terrible mainstream band getting all the praise from the critics for writing the same song over and over again for 13 tracks. if you dont like what i write then dont f***ing bother to read it. This is a public forum, this is the internet more importantly, i will type and rant all i want. As long as im staying on topic that is :)

this is the internet? Thanks for clarifying that for me. You make yourself sound very sophisticated and mature by calling me "kid". You've done it twice now.
