Tenet, an SYL Offshoot, Gets Signed to Virusworx Records

Tenet, the new Vancouver-based project featuring Strapping Young Lad guitarist Jed Simon, Strapping Young Lad/ex-Death drummer Gene Hoglan, ex-Grip Inc. bassist Stuart Carruthers, and former Sacrifice/current Interzone frontman Rob Urbinati, have inked a deal with Hamburg, Germany's Virusworx Records and will record their debut album in February 2003 with producer/SYL mainman Devin Townsend. A May release is expected.

According to Simon, the 11-track album will be a huge thrash metal monster.

"After all the years with Strapping Young Lad and the futuristic industrial influences I want to make a brutal, real metal album without keyboards," said the guitarist. "Stay tuned for a pure thrash metal album with extreme riffs, and a one of the best metal singers in the world!"
