"Hello boyz and girls! So here I am wrighting my first blog. I am sitting in a hotel in Tokyo, Japan and its 5 AM.
We flew in to Tokyo yesterday afternoon at about 3 PM and dude let me tell ya, it was such a looooong flight. Boy are my arms tired! hahaha! I think we were in a airplane for about 15 - 16 hours straight!! I was sitting in my seat not being able to sleep - because for some reason I cant sleep on planes - when I decided to look on the map to see how much further we had to go before we got there and it said we had 6 hours left - I thought I was going to loose my mind.
I was so stoked to get off that fuckin' plane and get into Tokyo to get my legs stretched and find some grub - so right when we got to the hotel all of us guys went out and ate some badass Japaneese food and had a few beers... fuck, a nice cold beer always makes me feel a shit load better!!
Anyways here we are in Japan once again and awake at a retarded time with a stomach that needs some food and a liver that is begging me for a frosty beer.

As though Trivium are some METAL gods? f*** them and f*** you, the fact that you say rulz is proof that you live and breath what hot topic says in the hot metal trend. If you want thrash listen to At the Gates or Exodus or Testament. Trivium is a bunch of over-produced, Metallica worshiping, metal want to be f***s. Matt Heafy even admitted that he wears girls pants. Probably so he can try to f*** himself.

i always find this amusing. with any bands like avenged sevenfold and atreyu and trivium, bands that any metalhead will agree sucks major f***ing ass. but theres always the people who claim that if you dont like it then youre emo and scene. then of course there is the generic guy who doesnt claim to like them but tries to keep the "peace" by saying something retarded like "Live and f***ing let live". and yes the metal community is going to bash these bands, not because we are "labeling" but because quite simply, most of these bands dont qualify as metal. last time i checked this was a website called "metal UNDERGROUND", not "mainstream hot topic bullsh**". well thats my two cents.

Wrong. At the Gates were melodic death metal during their prime which was Gardens of Grief to With Fear I Kiss the Burning Darkness. After that, they were a boring Gothenburg metal band. Slaughter of the soul is no where near their best album but anyway...

Notes they must've thought so too as they put a live version on the end of Terminal Spirit Disease. What type of MDM was Slaughter of the Soul?? If you do listen to their first two albums you can hear hints of Metallica worship (the solos, some of the riffs, the clean vocals. . .) and considering that The Crusade was their latest album that means their Metallica worship is continuing (From what I hear they don't even scream anymore on half the songs they used to *cough*AvengedSevenfold*cough*). Trivium is a weak, overrated band whose main talent is overdoing solos and triggered drumming. I used to like this band until I realized that Ascendancy was 75% studio magic and 25% Popular at the time -core with some Metallica worship added to make it "real" metal.
If you can refute me and tell me HOW or WHAT Trivium does that is worthy of ANY praise I will gladly give it to them.
But you can't, because it's Trivium. And just like the Latin they got their name from, they are a dead language.

When I mentioned their solos as a similarity to Metallica, I meant they sounded like Metallica solos. You're the only one reading me saying a band sucks because they solo a lot. I said they overdo their solos, not that they overdo soloing. People have compared them to Metallica prior to The Crusade you dumb f***. Yes, I have seen them live in concert, and they're weaker in concert than they are on recording.
And yes, I'm in a band that can not only recreate anything Trivium has done, but we can create music that is original too. Not everyone has the chance to explode with mallcore kids like Trivium did.
You completely ignored what I said and took one little thing to argue about and failed miserably. I'm glad that I angered you to the point where you want to come "beat the living hell out of me." What sh** did I talk that I haven't backed up?
Oh, the fact that sure Metallica influences 95% - 99% of metal, sure. Metallica has since stopped being influential, showing how weak a band can be when it comes to selling out to make money and defacing an art. Even still, Trivium was a weak metalcore version of Metallica. Now they're just a weak quasi thrash version of Metallica. I'm sorry I listen to metal that isn't created by guys where girl pants.
One last thing. We bash bands on this site. Get the f*** over it you emo f***ing crybaby.

on a lighter note, this band blows d***. they sold out and anyone who listens to "ascendancy" and compares it to the "cruades" can easily tell. They are by far the worst and most disappointing live band ever. Have no fear however, in about 3 years they will be all but forgotten. Since they have ceased to write..er...i dont want to say origional..but...uh...well...did they ever write good music?

and dark funeral, grow some balls and make some arguments yourself and not just say, 'yeah, so and so is right you're wrong blah blah blah...'. if you even want me to waste time talking to you the next time you post, make an argument worth arguing about. and until then, see how fast your blood flows out of your wrists while you cut them...

Secondly, stop thinking quantity of the solo. Think quality. And the quality of Trivium solo's is Metallica inspired. Trivium was compared to Metallica before the Crusade by metal reviewers and by many people I know (at that time it wasn't a bad thing because they weren't mimicking them, just being influenced by them).
Decency doesn't make for having a record label you f***. If that were true Suicide Silence nor Slipknot nor Korn would have ever had a label. Getting signed to a label isn't just an overnight thing Job for a Cowboy would have made it out to be. You have to have a following to get on to shows to get a bigger following to get on bigger shows to get a big enough following that labels get interested in you - or - you produce a quality enough demo/record that the label sees potential in you. Considering Pittsburgh's metal scene is near dead, we have to go by the latter. Terror By the Lake's cd will be done by spring. Even Metallica started out their career living in their van, not on the center stage.
I never said that Trivium was your lord, your god but whatever. All the other bands you mentioned are metalcore/deathcore bands (Trivium was a metalcore band before they converted to Metallica-ism). This makes me believe you're a hot topic going mall metal kid.
As for MU, it's a metal discussion sight. Trivium may or may not be on the borderline of Pop metal but as long as their news is on here I'm allowed to discuss (and in turn have opinion that I'm allowed to state) on this site. I talk up bands plenty enough too, but you must not check their news because you don't listen to anything that isn't sold in hot topic.
By the way, you said Jigga. I really don't need to say anything else.

now, i just would like to share my opinion and say that i like trivium. i think that they are a good band. yes they can get over publisised and whenever people are getting into metal, that is one band that they will start listening to because they are publisised more than most bands. but you also have to remember this. bands get publisised by guys whos job is to promote good bands. and if trivium is being promoted alot, then a lot of people must think that they are good at what they do. i'm sorry that you dont like the fact that the greatest band isn't being promoted as much as trivium, but there's nothing you can do about it, or else i'm sure you would have already done something. just dont judge bands compared to other bands, cause that's what you are doing. you aren't really looking at trivium as one. you are putting them in a big pile of other bands and saying that they aren't good and should die. right? well, that's not really what music is about man. now if you are looking for a favorite band then that's what you do. but when you look at a band for it's talent, which you obviously dont think they have any, you need to look at them and nobody else.

POINT: this band blows. they were less then half decent when they werent a full on metallica cover band. Matt queefy lacks vocal talent, and he wears tight pants, he even admitted to this. Travis the drummer sucks, he has to use triggers for easy beats(terribad). They use the bassist to do the clean singing live cuz queefy cant pull it off.
I was a trivicum fan like you once. Then i saw them live and have since then vowed to despise them for the rest of eternity. THEY ARE THE WORST LIVE BAND EVER, MOST DISAPPOINTING....EVER.
and i bet you laughed to yourself when you called him "focussh!t" cuz you're 12 and it was the best you could think of. just....SHH! you're terrible at argueing
