Metallica Check In From The Studio

Band Photo: Metallica (?)

METALLICA have posted this message on their official website:

"The big update is... that there is nothing new to report. Things are as you would call it, status quo, consistent, constant, invariable, unaltered, unchanged, unfailing, uniform, unvarying. Pretty much what we are trying to say is: work is continuing and all is good in the METALLICA hood. As soon as we do have something new to report, you will be the first to know of course! Ok, enough of this chit chat... back to work!"

My personal favorite from And Justice is probably To Live is to Die. Either that or the title track. It's a bit of a toss-up for me. The Shortest Straw is pretty damn bad-ass too, I love the solo work on that track.

Dyers Eve? Well maybe the fastest but if you ask me, One is Metallica's best song. Other than that I love Blackened, Justice and Eye of th Beholder. Though of course they're all masterpieces in their own right.

Now Playing: Burning Witch - "Stillborn"

Dyers eve is the best song off that album (imo). But almost evey song is awesome as the album is a masterpiece (as stated earlier). The only thing about Justice I didnt like was the recording. I dont know what kinda sound they were going for with the production value but I just didnt "get" it. But the quality of the songs more than makes up for it.

to the retard at post 7 if the bus killed lars there wouldnt be a metallica after that. and lars is a darn good drummer find me another guy at his age that can still do the double bass that good. metallica never sucked they just changed their music genre. Load Re-Load era where amazing rock albums and the black album was amazing if u see it from a musical perspective and not a metal one. St.Anger was a let down but every one does something sh**ty in their life. If it werent for metallica bands like megadeth would have never had the sound they do cus mustaine took his sound from hetfield. theres proof on hit the lights writen before mustaine joined. And new metal bands would have never reached what they have becuase metallica defines thrash. So repsect them for their legacy and for what they are great musicians that will always produce above average and most likely another amazing album.

Well i know i look at Metallica threads (kinda like avenged sevencrap posts) just for the infighting in the comments. It's just about the the best entertainment here watching ppl go at it.

Having said that, here's my 2 cents: In the time it takes these used up old fooks to record an album, most other bands (that blow them away btw) have put out an album and gone on SEVERAL tours. I mean, what takes these grandpas so long to put out such sub-standard albums? Most other bands do an album in a matter of weeks and they are FAR more aggressive and heavy and are played by FAR more talented musicians with waaay more interesting music. Now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna sit back and listen to "Justice" too cause that was the best (and last) of the goodness that was the mighty Met.

Dave Lombardo and Paul Bostaph r his age and they make Lars look like a drummer from a garage band who just picked up the sticks
