Avenged Sevenfold Offer Fans Chance To Be Producer For A Day On New Album

Launch Radio Networks reports: Avenged Sevenfold is offering a chance for a fan to become a "producer for a day" on the band's new album, according to Absolute Punk. Interested parties must upload a short video, less than two minutes long, to either YouTube, DailyMotion or another sponsoring web site explaining why they would be the best pick to get into the studio and produce the group for one day. Entries must also be sent to a7xproducerforaday@yahoo.com. The winner will be chosen on July 2 and technical know-how in the recording studio is not required.
The grand prize winner will receive airfare to Los Angeles and hotel accommodations. He or she will spend a day with the band in the studio and receive a special fan producer credit on Avenged Sevenfold's new album, which is due out later this year.

i just dont understand why everybody puts a7x down, i mean yeah they arent like the modern day metal bands but they brought back the Maiden style of metal i think. I'll be the first to admit that they dont have the best duo guitarists out there (Shadows Fall currently does in my opinion) but they definitely arent the worst. i saw em at ozzfest last year and they put on a awesome show so get a f***in life for the people that have nothin else to do but talk sh** on other bands when they dont know a f***in thing

I never comment on these things ... but how can you all call yourselves music lovers if your so closed minded, music is more than just one genre. Even if you are a 'metalhead 4 lyfe' who are you to judge other peoples music? You may not want to lump them in with slayer and the likes, which you are not wrong about, but avenged are in more than one way linked to the genre 'metal' (maybe a sub genre?).
I like avenged sevenfold...i like slayer, pantera, children of bodom too, i also like neil diamond and tom jones and joss stone. Music is a form of art, good music has a goal---to do something that has never been done before. That is what avenged are trying to do, they are true to themselves and their fans as well. Meanwhile bands like bullet for my valentine are in the studio trying their hardest to make a more 'metal' album....there is nothing more fake than that. Music of all genres is a beautiful thing it's sad that you guys don't realize that, as much as you think you do.
