One of the few rap-metal bands i always liked, but that went to sh** after "Blackout"
Saw them a couple times and they played nothing off their debut and one song of "Broke" the same for "Blackout", other wise all new stuff which seemed to be more hiphop than rock. That's $15 and an hour I'll never get back.

I appreciate Hed p.e. for a few reasons. One, the guy says some of the fxckedest shxt I've ever heard anyone say, and two, they don't really give a fxck if they're makin' tons of money, because they're badass, and they know they're badass. I wish when people thought of nu-metal, they thought of hed p.e. because numetal wouldn't be as looked down on if it were, as compared to, oh, KORN, or, SOAD, or Limp Bizkit, or, you know, one of the original mainstream numetalers. Hed pe is always entertaining to me, and I guess I'll keep listening!

I have to say this for Hed P.E...
Back in 2001 some kid had "Broke" playing at an off campus frat party and the house very nearly caved in for three or four songs....particularly one called "Crazy Legs". Funny lyrics, the song even lifts a Notorious B.I.G. line if I remember right. Ah, memories.
In the context of "metal" these guys don't even register but they make superior party music to anything that came from the 80's or their nu-metal peers. I never did keep up with them, though it is surprising they survived the nu-metal collapse.

hed p.e. is one of the few bands I can listen to CD after CD. Every album has a different sound, hell, the sound varies widely even within each album.
I just know it all sounds good to me. You've got some party music, some sh** to just chill, a track or two to f*** to, some sh** to f*** it up in the pit... a whole lot of sh** to f*** it up in the pit.
And everyone keeps complaining about the lyrics. I don't think they're getting it ;-)
