Although nothing is being officially confirmed, it seems that drummer Chris Pennie has left the Dillinger Escape Plan. Rumour has it that the band are working with Gil Sharone in the studio, as they search for a permanent replacement.

I saw this coming when he started drumming for that miserable Coheed and Cambria band. I hope the contributions he made to the songs thus far make the record. Great sounding stuff. They have an impossible task ahead of them in finding someone physically and creatively on par with Pennie.

Now Playing: Shadows Fall - "Destroyer of Senses"

maybe morgan agren? and gene hoglan seems to be playing in every band nowadays. maybe they could get him.

Hoglan would be bad ass. So would Byron Stroud. Yeah, when I saw they play with Coheed and Cambria, their drummer played a double set. Once with DEP and once with Noheed & Gaybria. I don't know how anyone in DEP could do anything after playing a set like that. I'd just pass the fxck out or something.

a fan of DEP and Mudvayne.
DEP are leaps beyond Vayne in complexity...Though it is fair to compare them to an extent....which is saying alot about both bands really.

Mudvayne flirt with jazz while DEP murder it, open it up and splash around in the organs and fluids....Sorry listening to the new Pig Destroyer which is somehow more dismemberment centric than Prowler and Terrifyer.

Annnnnyway, The loss of Pennie is pretty severe.....
It's funny that antihippy mentions Opeth because they too have lost a drummer and guitarist between albums
Antihippy

"Fair Judgement" = classic -- do yourself a favor and get every Opeth album from MY Arms Your Hearse-Ghost Reveries...if you havent already.
Hope both acts can bounce back.

Now Playing: Pig Destroyer - "Girl In the Slayer Jacket" ....insane stuff....

I love TDEP and I just hope that they find an ecxellent drummer to replace him...I don't know about Hoglan though, I mean I don't think he is prepared to get is a$$ kicked by the other band members onstage, as we all know they are kind of crazy onstage...
