Otep Finally Dropped From Capitol Records After Merger

Tunelab Music reports that the saga of whether or not Otep were still signed to Capitol Records is over. In a recent blog, the band revealed that they are now "free agents" and are exploring other possibilities. No word on if their new album 'The Ascension' will be released or remain on a shelf for eternity.

Hey, I was just watching CNN and the news about Otep being dropped came on. The anchor woman said : it's a good thing for humanity that this sh**ty a$$ band got dropped. We have just saved many generations the torment of rap metal. And on a personal note, I would like to say that otep sucks huge crap a$$ from outerspace and I think that many of my colleagues from CNN think the same way.

Otep didn't get dropped from Capitol. Capitol didn't want to let them go, they decided to leave. Also, regardless of whether you like Otep's lyrics or not, if you think Jay sucks at bass, you have no idea what musical talent is. The guy has a BA from Berkley for gods sake. He's good at the bass, face it...losers
p.s. Their new members are far superior to any of the others that have been in the band.

Quit buying into it and the bands will have to raise the bar to succeed. You're making it so these bands don't even have to try to be good. Otep is a fxcking disgrace to music in general. Not just metal. And that's why Capitol dropped them like a hot rock with bugs crawling on it. Because they fxcking suck hard and their existence is an affront to the whole of music. f*** Evil J. "Oooh, I have a BA, a scary name, and a beard to match! Respect me!" He's got a BA. So fxcking what. That doesn't mean he's talented, it means that he didn't STRUGGLE as a musician because his suburban spoiled-ass could actually pay for tuition. Which, in effect, makes the whole band's message seem far less believable. The only respect these wastes of sound are going to get is from their fxcking kids at their funerals.

You just see it in reviews. You shouldn't toss words around that you can't define. Otep is not, and will never be relevant. You will not and can not in any way shape or form do or say anything that's going to make me appreciate Otep.
As far as MY influences go, you don't even know what bands I listen to, so you can shut that shxt up, too.
And no, unicorns DON'T exist, but sadly enough, what does exist is chicks that get molested and think that it's some divine sign from god that they should start sh**ty bands and dumbasses like you eat it up. Music comes first. Not WHY you're making music. I could care less.
