Former Damageplan bassist Bob "Zilla" Kakaha has officially replaced Jerry Montano (Danzig, Nothingface, The Deadlights) in HellYeah.
HellYeah drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott, who played with Bob Zilla in Damageplan alongside Vinnie's late brother "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, told MTV in January, "I told Bob after [Dimebag was killed] that no matter what happens, I'm gonna find a way to play in a band with him again because me and him are just bros. It was kind hard to go ahead and commit to this band without Bob being part of it, but since Jerry was the bass player it was already set in place. And Bob's been really cool and understanding. And he's doing his tattoo shop in Texas right now. And some point in the future, we'll probably play together again."
HellYeah released it's self-titled debut on April 10.
Gotta love the haters out their!!! unless you know what is going down with the band dont tell rumors.... NO ONE has been officialy named yet as the new bass player!!! Maxwell wont be leaving the band!! and Jerry didnt leave he got KICKED OUT!!!!! And obviously the band is amazing if they can be 9 on the billboard 100 in the first week of the cd being public!!!!!
As much as I love Vinnie, enjoy Nothingface and Mudvayne, this band bores me.
Mostly because Chad Grey doesn't differentiate himself from Mudvayne at all. He sounds exactly the same. It really is as though they've meshed bands. I would have preferred if they tried something new. The vocals need diversification and to move away from Mudvayne's sound. The music needs to sound less like a simple blending of mudvayne and nothingface, and vinnie - well, I actually don't have much bad to say about him, except that he should really think twice next time he joins a band.

WOW! Already thery're having problems with people in the band. Who knows what the hell the reason behind this was. I kind of have a feeling that it might be Ryan from Mudvayne. I would make a lot of sense. But we'll find out shortly. Im contemplating going to the Peoria show as well as Family Values.
