Tomahawk: 'Anonymous' Artwork Revealed

TOMAHAWK, the "all-star" band featuring former FAITH NO MORE vocalist Mike Patton, ex-HELMET drummer Jon Stainer and former JESUS LIZARD guitarist Duane Denison, will release its new album, "Anonymous", on June 19 via Ipecac. Check out the cover artwork at the bands My Space page: http://www.myspace.com/tomahawkofficial

Speaking to Greg Prato of Billboard.com in May 2006, Patton stated that the first all-new studio effort from TOMAHAWK since 2003's "Mit Gas" was coming along "slowly but nicely — and I'm completely to blame for the slowly part. Duane has had stuff written for it seems like eons now, and I'm just been very backed up. It's getting closer and closer to my main focus now. So I expect once I can zero in on it, we'll be able to bang it out."

Their live show leaves something to be desired...but if they improve on this one as much as they did from the first to the second...then this might be the record of the year.

It is always good to hear from Mr. Mike Patton. Personaly I thought that Tomahawk was the weakest of Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, and Tomahawk, but I'm really hoping that this one will impresse me. I personaly liked the first Tomahawk album best so who knows how this one will sit with me.

The weakest? Tomahawk are amazing, and besides, each of those bands are crazy different. I don't even know that you can really compare them. Mit Gas was a great album, though.

You were impressed by Peeping Tom? C'mon. Since FNM and Mr Bungle called it quits,
Tomahawk is the "Mike Patton-band" I like most. Fantomas' music is too scatter-brained for my taste.
Tomahawk second, "Mit Gas", was pure adrenaline. Still listen to it regularly. I hope "Anonymous" lives up to it.

Well, I doubt the FNM reunion..(very good joke though) ...Tomahawk might not be an agressive record from the past two. It sounds more tribal and folkish.

It'ss a joke, one of my two april fools contributions. I'm sure the new Tomahawk will be every bit as good as the last two.
