Hope it's better than "Life is Killing Me"...."Bloody Kisses" and "October Rust" have proven timeless.

I think it'll be a good album. They've taken a lot of time off to do other things and usually that's good for a band to recharge like that. I think Life is Killing Me was just an album to satisfy the RR contract. It was a decent album, but not on par with Rust or Bloody Kisses.

I'm all ears.

I can forgive one so-so album (WCD) and one bad album (LIKM)....

I like some of the titles on this one already.

Is it the original line-up with Peter Steele? If so, I hope it's a good one. It's great to see a resurgence(if you will) of good bands.

Peter Steele is the soul of this band....I think Type O's lineup has been pretty stable over the years...I think they changed out a drummer when I was in eighth grade but that was 11 years ago.

Where does the time go...?

That "Profits of Doom" better be a Clutch cover or else I'm gonna be p***ed at Type O for jocking song titles...

I am looking forward to this. TON has been very consistent over the years - I always look forward to their new material. I hope they make it to NC once the tour kicks off. I have yet to see them live.

I have the Promo disc...(with the 'this cd is the property of type o negative' etc)

First I'll comment on some other posts here....WCD as so-so? f*** off...this disc was pretty f***ing killer, but I would agree that LIKM was sub-par for TON, I gave that CD a 4 of 10 stars.

The good thing is, I give the new CD 8 of 10 stars. It has all the TON tweaks, pick slides, doomy licks, Pete's vocals, Kenny's vocals, keyboard masterpeices, etc. But, IMHO it will never stand up to October Rust which is a 10 of 10 for me. But, just wait until you hear September Sun, it WILL blow you away.

This CD is WAY better than LIKM, so you should be happy, but less 'doomy' as WCD.

I liked parts of WCD I just felt that it just lacked that creative one/two punch that TON brought to Bloody Kisses and Oct. Rust.

I am very much looking forward to this one though, I know they still have it in them, been a fan for about 3/4 of my life.

Well I have to say the last track is the best even tho it's highly inaccurate about the person it's written about *mutters under breath*... But as a whole it's a weak album for Type O, in my opinion. Lots of Sabbath rips, John Lennon's 'Imagine', even Nirvana 'Heart-Shaped Box' is in there...I don't know, maybe it's a grower....
