Porcupine Tree has revealed the title to their new release 'Fear of a Blank Planet', whose lyrical content is described as a 21st century cocktail of MTV, sex, prescription drugs, video games, the internet, terminal boredom, and subsequent escape.
The album is due for release in mid April.

Been a vocal fan of these guys since 1999 (same year I discovered Opeth appropriately enough).
I'm hearing more rock/metal version of "The Sky Moves Sideways" like from PTfan if I remember right....which would suit me just fine....
I'd like for them to get back to lonely, paranoid sound of Signify or (semi)subtle psychosis of In Absentia....Two of their finest if I do say so....and I have and love all their material....
fanboy babble sorry, ban me.

Procupine Tree is one of the best bands to ever walk the face of the planet. Steven Wilson is a god. I went to the last show in San Francisco and heard some of the new material. It's intense. Porcupine Tree cannot be classified under just one genre. They are unclassifiable. They mix heavy metal with rock creating a sound that nobody has been able to compeat with. 'Fear for a Black Planet' is going to be an album that will blow 'Stupid Dream,' 'Lightbulb Sun,' 'In Absentia' and 'Deadwing' out of the water.
