Kiss Force Kittie to Change Label Name

Band Photo: Kittie (?)
AOL Music Blog reports: The ladies in Kittie recently decided to go the DIY route to release their music, and formed a label called Kiss of Infamy -- a tag that the lawyers for Kiss Catalog Limited insisted might confuse the (evidently easily-mystified) Kiss Army into accidentally purchasing merchandise that wouldn't directly benefit their clients. Confronted with the cease-and-desist, and the realization that Canadian dollars don't buy very much in the way of American lawyers' fees, Kittie opted to change the name of the imprint to X of Infamy.

I respect that KISS are one of the most influential bands ever but other than that I really f***ing hate them! I hate the music, I hate their arrogance and I hate their blatant corporate greed. I'm not a big Kittie fan but there was no need for this. f*** KISS.

That's funny. Gene Simmons thinks people still buy Kittie albums. But I suppose he insisted on a a label change on the sadly true basis that most Kiss fans are idiots. People who probably would buy Kittie albums and think it was Kiss. Even after listening to it. For a year.

Yeah, like Kittie haven't had enough issues lately. If your fans can't tell the difference between a band of guys dressed vaguely like women and a band of women dressed vaguely as guys, then they deserve to lose their money.
Lawyers suck.
