To quote Ostracised: "L'arc en Ciel is a better JApanese band IMHO"...while Laruku is great, I guess it's my opinion Dir en grey is the best ever. And no offense to Fair to Midland fans, but I could care less about seeing them. I would prefer Dir en grey do a full one-man like in Japan. But I'll be seeing them twice on this tour anyway.

L'arc en Ciel sucks in my opinion. I couldn't listen to one song without being annoyed...But I think the best in J-Rock/Metal had to be X-Japan (\m/ Rest in Peace Hide \m/).
Dir en Grey, I've noticed, get harder sounding with every new album...When they started out, they were alittle softer than Hard Rock, now they seem to be going toward Death Metal or Black Metal...I can't wait to hear that...
Another really good Japanese band is MUCC, they are the only bands I can say actually sound BETTER on stage than on the album. On stage, they sound a f***load harder than they do on the album! I first heard them in concert (and I started every pit for them). So after the show I got some of their albums, but as soon as I got the albums and listened to them, I recognized they were the same songs played on stage, but softer sounding...It was rather disappointing...
I saw MUCC at one of those Jap/Anime cons, while I was in the city, I ended up sharing a hotel with them, as well as Yoshiki (from X-Japan), and this pop singer who I obviously didn't care about (Mind you, she was cute), name was Nana Kitade...
I couldn't make the Fam Values tour to see Diru, I might miss them again, but only because I'm too busy trying to see Slayer when they hit DC again...
But I like the band, respect what they do, I'd probably f*** Shinya (Diru's guitarist if I'm not mistaken?) if I was wasted enough (the guys look like cute asian girls on stage, I swear, I'd get wasted with one of them by accident)...
