Nightwish Will Not Choose New Singer Before 2007

Finnish symphonic metal band NIGHTWISH, which recently entered the studio to begin recording its first album since the departure of singer Tarja Turunen, has posted the following message on its official web site:

"There has been again false news about [the] NIGHTWISH vocalist [position] in some media [outlets] at least in Finland. There has not been any decisions made concerning the vocalist and there will not be any before year 2007. When the band chooses the vocalist, they will inform all [members of the] media about it. Once again: Do not trust any news if it's not found in www.nightwish.com!"

As for being able to sing opera, I don't particularly care, because I don't like opera. But she does have talent to be able to sing in the opera style, it's a hard one to grasp.

Angella Gossow, now THAT is a hot damn woman. And damn can she growl, hahah. I'd like to hear that sh** in the bedroom, hahahah.

Tarja was an amazing singer, with an outstanding amount of talent. The band had their reasons.... I weeped at the loss of Tarja. I'd be forever disapointed if the replacement singer wasn't a opera singer. Tarja's voice gave the band its element.

Another Symphonic Opera Metal band is 'Dreamquest'. Luca Turrili's newest band (Former singer/Lead guitarist of Rhapsody). They have a female opera singer who is and isn't as good as Tarja. Her voice isn't as fragrent I find, but is just as powerful.

I just hope Nightwish doesn't go for a male vocalist, I hate male vocals in Metal. I would also personaly love to see Tarja join a new band, instead of her pissing about with some random finnish christmas CD.
