MARILYN MANSON has begun work on a new album. The singer says he has completed half an LP's worth of material, according to NME.com. One of the tracks is "Rebels Without Applause," which is about new bands becoming popular.
MARILYN MANSON told Rolling Stone: "I'm not the bitter guy that's jealous of these other bands that are coming up and stealing my thunder. I invented thunder and rain. I am THE black. And I'm here to vacuum the red carpet."
The singer has also record the song "This Is Halloween" for the upcoming DVD release of Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas."
He said: "It will be the vampire national anthem. Black panties all across the world will moisten at the sound of my voice."
Other projects include the filming of "Phantasmagoria: The Visions Of Lewis Carroll" in Paris, and the launch of his own range of absinthe.
MARILYN MANSON said of the drink: "We hope to have it out in time for parents to give to their children for Christmas."

He's full of himself. That kind of confidence is good but I don't think it's realistic...."I am THE black" is a rocket assisted leap across the line as far as I'm concerned....
However, to his credit I actually enjoyed his middle era stuff, Smells like Children-Holywood. Alot of it had to do with the girl I was dating at the time but catching him live at Ozzfest....2001 I think....The f***er really pushed him self for the crowd.
It was nothing to take seriously or write home about but next to NIN it was the best thing on radio....
Golden age was way beyond sh**ty though. I don't know if theres any coming back after that.
He should bring back John 5 and beg Twiggy...The new lineup and direction is uninspired and shoddy.

hey RememberMetal, what manson does is get people to talk about him,(such as yourself) positivly or not,and everytime something spews from this mans mouth, the world responds,so it does look like his confidence is good and it seems his statements look pretty realistic, and as far as trying to seem like you never really liked him,or took it seriously,I think that it is odd that you know members names and that are no longer in his band, and have an opinion about his music at all.

Hey Gotcha, I remember them too. I don't really know very much by MM. I know that John 5 had/has a solo project/band and he played with Rob Zombie at Ozzfest 2005 that I saw. I hope to see him live, I hear he really puts on amazing shows! So many bands I need to see so little time lol

well as far as MM i think he's an incredible artist whom just like eveyone else hasn't gotten it right all the time but it doesn't take away from all the great s**t he's done-i luv nightmare before christmas looking forward to hearing the song-but i wouldn't buy all the s**t hot topic sales

I haven't seen him live but a mate of mine (who's a Marylin Manson fan himself) said he was absolute sh** when he saw them. It's also nice to see he's actually writing a new album instead of just covering EVERYTHING! I like Manson but after I heard his cover of The KKK Took My Baby Away, I haven't listened to him since!

Gotcha
Knowing the band members names equates to having a memory....not such a tough feat.
I make it a point to learn about the bands I love just as much as the ones I hate, so that I can justify my opinions. I love metal and I am an album reviewer. Overanalyzing music is what I do.
Manson fell somewhere in the middle for me because he has some stuff I like and just as much that I hate.
As far as my having opinion, I'm more than entitled. I do infact own Antichrist, Mechanical Animals and Holywood and there are some cuts on each record I enjoy as well as a bunch of filler and worthless sh**. Not to mention that I have seen Manson live twice.

Hmm true. However, I really don't see whyle are shocked by him. Chances are the same parents that get shocked by him are the same ones that were going to Alice Cooper and Ozzy Osbourne concerts back in the day and they really were shocking! Better too in my opinion.

Music of MM is what he feels, lyrics are his thoughts. He is an artist. a diffrent one. For Ex: If the band "canibbal coprpse" hit the mian stream they would be the most contravertial. they are the best selling death metal band in the world, but still more in the under ground.
Look at "cradle of filth", they broke in to the main stream. result-they lost thier fans in the under ground+more criticts in the main stream. But they are doing well. so does MM. I'm not telling that MM is in the same caliber of those two bands. He will never be. but he is in a diffrent level, he always be. he always be the most contrvertial artist in the main stream.

MARYLIN MANSON, is an example of the downfall in the 90s. Unfortunatly, i don't care if i don't know any artist personal, i personally insult them and their fans, all who think even in the most minimum level that this prince of queergoth is good, i'm a mean the most illest sh** to you all. f*** his fans, HIS GAY LEGION OF HOMOSEXUALS EMO KUNTS.

hey manson is the most intellegent artist so far along with trent from NIN . manson is what ever he wants to be. he does not want people to copy him. his untold slogan is"be your yourself, what ever you want to be" if you disagree then talk to me about it dahornybugger@hotmail.com
