Poison Get Into Fight At End Of Show

Band Photo: Poison (?)
The Metal Sludge web site has been updated with several fan accounts in regards to POISON's performance last night (Friday, August 25) at The HiFi Buys Amphitheatre in Atlanta, Georgia:
Account#1: "Don't know what started it, but right before the encore Bret [Michaels, vocals] and Bobby [Dall, bass] appeared to be in a heated discussion and next thing ya know Bobby slings his bass at Bret. Rikki [Rockett, drums] and the roadies had to come in and separate them. Bret then went on to apologize and say how we may have just witnessed the last POISON concert ever. Bobby later came out and finished the song... guess to give the fans what they paid for. Wish I knew what was said."
Account#2: "Here is the way I saw it from fifth-row center seats.
"The next-to-last song has always been 'Nothing But a Good Time', at least for the last six years that I have seen them. Then they seem to always close with 'Talk Dirty To Me'.
"Well, 'Nothing But a Good Time' was played, the confetti dropped as it has every year, the band comes out and waves and it goes dark. A couple of miniutes pass by and Bobby Dall (the bassist) comes running on stage pics up the mic and starts screaming, 'Do you want some more? I can't hear you!' I mean, screaming the shit. I was weird and unusual....just the whole atmosphere of it seemed strange, the way he was acting. Then the rest of the band comes walking out looking puzzled and Bret tried to get the microphone from Bobby. He shoved Bret and looked seriously pissed off. I mean, he looked like he was ready to throw down. Bret took the boxers stance (you know dukes up and bouncing) and I was just kinda trying to play it off with a smile but Bobby wasn't smiling at all. Then four or five roadies come on stage and pull them off the stage.

WEll, I am not a huge Poison fan, but I will say that Poison is selling more tickets than most bands right now. They sold out Detroit this year. They had record crowds in several states. This isn't some fairground show with a thousand hicks watching it. I worked four of the shows in four different towns, and the crowds were packed with hot pu$$y of all ages. Detroit was sold out with the crowd swarming the stage at the end of the show. Didn't see nearly this good of a crowd at the NIN shows that Iworked this year.

Look everyone, CC DeVille!----^
Thats nice that women of all ages are seeing the shows....but what is open to debate is the quality of the music, not the age, sex and taste of these particular fans.
I champion the band for running their show for this long and being good to thier fanbase, despite throwing a hissy fit in front of said fans....But the music is derivative, simplistic and lyrically dull.

hey whats wrong with the lyrics to Unskinny Bop..? hahaha.....yeah that was a joke...
I lived through the "hair"metal era...there were ALOT of better bands than Poison....seems to me that the bands internal problems were well documented in their Behind the Music episode on VH1...guess alot hasnt changed.!!!!!!
maybe they were arguing over who could pick up the youngest fan...... Big C didnt say that most of those women were probably there with their daughters.... which means that the moms were over 35 and the daughters were probably under 18...

Poison is definitely not a bunch of great musicians. However, their songs are fun and they make people have a good time for a reasonable price. Their shows are more about entertainment, pyro, lights, old fun songs and getting a little drunk. I think a lot of people had a great time this year at the Poison shows. As I said, they sold a ton of tickets this year, and their 20 year album that came out this year is nearly certified gold. They are doing ok for themselves and their fans. if I am going to see real music, and be entertained by a good musician, that would exclude 99% of the tours that went out this year. I only pay to see acts such as Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Buckethead, etc.

Big C - have you registered with the "Pedophile next door club" yet?
And: "Their shows are more about entertainment, pyro, lights, old fun songs and getting a little drunk." - Rob Zombie does the same thing.... only better.
In your honor though - you seem to like yourself some good bassists, so I'll cut you a bit of slack... Big P(edo). Haha.
I'd have watched that show for the fight. That's it though.
Poison needs to hang it up. Soon.
