Somehow I think it's the record company. Lots of metal releases have been pushed back lately.

Sad News...but just a thought (if I'm not wrong), I think Roadrunner would like to pit Megadeth against Metallica in 2007, with the new albums !! It would be interesting to see who truly wins, if Metallica manages to come out with an album in 2007 !! :)

that is an interesting thought Wrath082...i was thinking about it the other day and i think early metallica blows megadeth away, but now i think that if the albums come out around the same time it wouldnt even be close. Megadeth makes real metal music and i think that they may destroy metallica as far as record sales go if that is the case. (no disrespect to either band b/c they are both legendary)

nah, early megadeth blows all bands out the water. the official statement is that an early 07 release date suits the band and the label better, but i think they do wanna compete with tallica. excuses excuses. tallicas new tune sucks anyway.

in regards to the megadeth v. metallica scenerio: megadeth's new album will probably be better musically and hailed more in the metal community, but metallica's will probably sell more copies.
