Killswitch Engage Set To Release New Album

Killswitch Engage has titled their upcoming album "As Daylight Dies." Produced by Killswitch guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, the effort will hit stores on November 21st via Roadrunner Records. Speaking to MTV.com, bassist Mike D'Antonio had the following to say:
"There was really hardly any thought put into it at all. It just came out and we hadn't written in so long that everyone had a lot to contribute. It felt more like the sessions for Alive Or Just Breathing, where everyone was contributing, and everyone had a say. That is more, to me, what the Killswitch style is. But, it is the typical line that everyone gives you - that this is a heavier album — but it kind of is. It's definitely way heavier. There are still the melodic choruses here and there, and there's a lot to latch onto. But it's heavy."
As previously reported, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, LAMB OF GOD and UNEARTH are joining forces for an Australian tour in October.

definitely psythe. i thought that Alive or Just Breathing was better then The End of Heartache....even the title of their last album reeked of emo. however, howard jones is one of the best vocalists in the biz (jesse was even better though) and adam and joel are riffmasters. im very much looking forward to the new release as i root for any massachusetts band putting it down. its bands like this that can carry a tune and still keep it metal that i think make bands like avenged sevenfold and the like wannabe rock stars.....keep it coming killswitch, you guys rule

Couldn't agree more, mate. Jesse absolutely blew it away. Jones is damned good, but the guy's got squat on Jesse - as, indeed, do most. And yeah, AOJB is easily my favourite by these guys...so far...
It's unfortunate that all the bands that followed in KsE's footsteps couldn't quite attain what they did. None of them were ever as good as the originals.

I actually prefer the songs where he sings a tad (mainly when he does it chorus only). I feel it gives the song more structure, instead of just four minutes of shouting at me. Makes it more like he's trying to produce music and less like he's an angry old man yelling me off about this or that.
My favourite KsE songs are (somewhat in order): Numbered Days (def no.1), the title track from AOJB, and wow, I've forgotten the names of the songs...lol, trust me...oh well, the other two I was going to mention are both on AOJB, too, funnily enough :P
