Tool Announce Australian Shows, May Play Big Day Out

Band Photo: Tool (?)
Tool have announced that they will be heading Down Under in January next year to play two shows, one in Sydney, and one in Melbourne. The annual Tool rumour is once again rampant, suggesting that the band will possibly be showing their gratitude to their Australian fans by joining the next Big Day Out tour. Whilst this rumour leaks it's way into Aussie hearts almost every year, with a very minimal two-show tour in support of their latest album, "10,000 Days", high hopes are perhaps a little easier to get away with this time around.
The tickets for the Sydney and Melbourne shows start selling August 25th through Ticketmaster. Details follow:
Sydney: January 24th at the Sydney Entertainment Centre
Melbourne: January 31st at the l Myer Music Bowl

they've been holding off on this announcement for ages. now they make it and it's only two shows? I'm pretty disappointed myself.
Although, it WOULD be excellent if they (FINALLY) play on the BDO tour. That tour has gone downhill a LOT over the years...they need some talent back in there to revive it, in my opinion. I could swear that Big Day Out announced it's last tour a year or two though...apparently it's still good to go.

The Greatest Band Today are finally coming back to Oz.
Skript, you obviously don't play music yourself. If you did you would understand and respect why Tool are so revered within the heavy music scene.
To all fans in the Western states, get along to the BDO. As someone who has seen these guys on all their Australian tours (Five times) they are an absolute mind blowing live experience.

Relax and look into more sources. They are announcing more Aust. shows. Last tour they hit almost every major city why would it be different this time around? Considering the BDO, they may be trying to work it so they tour along with the BDO i.e. Brisbane BDO then Brisbane show, Sydney BDO then one Sydney show.
