As I Lay Dying are planning to release a special edition CD/DVD version of their latest effort "Shadows Are Security" through Metal Blade on October 10th. No word yet on what bonus content will be featured.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the re-releases with extra material. It's great for the people who didn't shell out for the first release, but those who shelled out fifteen bucks have their cds rendered worthless if they want to buy the newer version. Kinda like Trivium putting out their rerelease...it's much better to track down a copy of Kerrang's "Master of Puppets" on ebay for ten bucks than to just go buy another Trivium cd just to get "Master of Puppets," the single.

That's pretty confusing actually. I bought it when it came out and it came with a DVD of a live set at a German club, so to release it again with a different DVD is a bit weird.
It's also annoying because it's just another money making scheme.
