not a big fan of the cover at all, and also was unbelievably dissappointed in their live set every time i see them. i always hope that the next time i see them it will get better, because they have so much talent, but it never does. they try way too hard to be rock stars when they are playing live instead of just ripping it up.

For what they are Trivium aren't a bad act....Which is to say that they're the more accessible side of thrash-core....
Taking the route cleared by Shadows Fall isn't especially bold but it requires a certain degree of talent. I'm especially impressed with the fact that they can play as well as they do for being under drinking age.....

They sounded horrible in Sauget, IL for SOTU tour. Their best song is their Master of Puppets cover!

That cover blows. For Iced Earth it might be tight, but Trivium's album should have The Village People on it, or a rainbow at the very least.

I still can't believe Maiden decided to bring them as support in the UK. Is it just me that thinks Maiden have a habit of picking bollocks for support?

It seems like a the majority of people agree that Trivium aren't that great live. I saw them last year and they just cannot sing a lick. Heafy puts a lot of energy into playing guitar, and the vocals come out terrible. "Martyr" was god awful live.

Actually, if you listen to Trivium's first cd, it's pretty horrible, too. Just goes to show how much production means. I'll be the first to say that "Ascendancy" is a five-star album, though.

kind of agree w/ you raw, except im pretty sure God Forbid put out 'ascendancy' first only they titled it 'IV: the constitution of treason' and did it much much better than trivium. although, i could be wrong about the release dates??
