Woman Sexually Assaulted At Ozzfest Show
Police in Tinley Park, Illinois, are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a 20-year-old Ozzfest attendee in a parking lot outside the festival on Sunday. The attack occurred as the woman was leaving the show at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheater at approximately 8 p.m.
According to a report on the incident from the Tinley Park Police Department, the assault happened as the woman was walking through one of the venue's parking lots. She encountered the shirtless man and they began talking. "After they engaged in conversation, he forced her to a secluded grassy area of the parking lot where the assault took place," according to the report. "The subject then released the victim and left the area in an unknown direction."
Tinley Park Police Commander Phil Valois told the Chicago Tribune that the victim � who came to the concert from neighboring Indiana � said she initially had no reason to be scared of the attacker.
The woman described her attacker as white, muscular, 5-foot-9, about 30-years-old with short brown hair and possibly pierced nipples. There have been no witness reports of the attack, and Valois said it was unlikely anyone saw or heard it.
The victim reported the incident to the amphitheater's staff 10 minutes after she was assaulted.
Police had no additional information at press time, according to a Tinley Park Police Department spokesperson.
An Ozzfest spokesperson could not be reached for comment.

I think it is sad that this happened. Always travel with a "battle buddy." Especially when you go to shows and places with alot of strange people around. I hate this happened. Atheists do not deny the existence of one or more Transcendant Beings (or "God"s). That's called Agnosticism. If you disbelieve in the existence of any "God", then you are an AGNOSTIC.
Atheists simply don't care whether there are Gods or not. They believe that sure, there might well be Gods. And there might not. But if there are, then they do not act either directly or indirectly on this Earth.
It's kind of like Buddhism in that Buddhists do not deny the existance of Transcendant Beings, but instead the IMPERMENANCY of any such Deity. Buddhists hold that whilst there may well be Gods, the Gods don't have to be worshipped.
I hope I remembered all that correctly, I'm taking that info from my school religion class years.
Oh, and the Bible - yeah, it IS actually bullsh**ting us all. Has been, too, ever since a certain council held by a certain Roman Emperor. Perhaps you know what I'm talking about. The fact that the Holy Bible, which wasn't written until (was it a hundred, or hundreds of years after?) well after the Prodigal Son had perished upon the cross, and the fact that the Holy Bible has been translated around FOUR times for us to read it (and we all know that errors in translation happen - mainly because some languages simply don't have words for what other languages do) suggest that maybe the book we're reading today should be categorized 'Fiction'. And I'm sure there are other reasons, too. I was at the Ozzfest in Tinley Park. And I left at 7:00 right before Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, and SOAD. I can definitely see how no one saw or heard it. There are lots of easy places where you could hide and no one would even know. It's surrounded by trees and a little dried up swamp like area. It's real easy. I feel so bad for this girl and I wish this didn't happen. No one deserves this at all. I hope the f***er that did this gets what he has coming to him. But then again they don't have a very good description of the guy. And when I left at 7 there was not a single person in the parking lot but my group of people. Woman should not go to concerts alone. And yeah there was some, not too much but some good looking women there. Hope we get an update soon.

No, actually I went to see GWAR, which probably rivals a sexual assault in terms of how disturbing it is, although I will admit that GWAR is quite a bit more comical than the above-mentioned assault. In all seriousness though, I think all will agree that the incident was f***ed up, but I'm at a loss for possible explanations for why this young lady was at Ozzfest (of all places) by herself. It's a f***ed up world, kids.

I can't tell you how many time I've been to show where girls are getting groped in circle pits or while crowd surfing. Some of them probably aren't even 15.....it's f***ed up. Some of em get tossed around like rag dolls.
I've been in a very small number of -honest to god- confrontations in my life...One involved this chubby recneck kid with face full of pimples and COF shirt...he dilberately shoved this tiny goth-ish girl to the hardwood...He laughed until I did the exact same thing to him a second later, only I kicked the back of his knee as I pushed him...Corny chivalry-hero sh** I know, but it happened.
Fat a$$ had a bloody nose and elbow. He didn't even do anything about it, he just looked at me like he wanted to kill me and went off to the bathroom to check himself out. Girl gave me a polite "thank you." and went back to hopping to the opening band. I was probably a couple inches shorter than him to boot. It was a Filter show in 02 for the Amalgamut record. Funny stuff.
It's a societal/animal thing: taking advantage of the opposite sex or smaller/weaker people...Not a whole lot that can be done other than increased security at these shows and festivals.

It turned out to be a whole set-up.These clowns thought if they got her drunk & high she would just go along with it.Everyone assumed she was a slut anyway because she hung out with guy's all the time when in fact she was just a Tom Boy.The only good thing that came from this is she stopped drinking.Other than that now that......I know you can just tell she's still carrying it.It's really sad.

Its unfortunate that these things happen, and so often. These actions scar people ( In most cases ) for the rest of thier lives. Everytime i hear something like this ( Which happens far too much ) it just makes me sick. You really have to stand in awe of the callousness it takes to commit an act like this. You know, I went to the Ozzfest event on that day, and around 8:15 we saw a sh** load of police come inside the venue, they were patroling the area making sure that creep wasn't around. I say around that time they had AV7X playing right after Hate Breed had finished. My friend and I didn't know wat was up , but that attack must have been the reason why Authorities were there.

Semi off topic but whats with all the violence at these summer concerts? Rapes, peregnant women close to moshpits, massive ammounts of tickets handed out whats going on? What ever happened to the time when you went to a concert the bands didn't suck and you got your pot in and just rocked out for the whole day?
