BrisMetal (www.brismetal.com) have issued the following press release:

FEAR FACTORY - With Special Guests DEVILDRIVER - Australian Tour Confirmed!

Fear Factory return to Australia this September, not to remind us of their legacy - but to prove, once gain, that their status as metal's greatest live performers remains unsurpassed.

Joining them as special guest is DEVILDRIVER, a band with a well deserved reputation, unquestionable pedigree and under any other circumstances headliner in their own right.

Confirmed dates include:

September
15 at The Tivoli in Brisbane, AUS
16 at Big Top Luna Park in Sydney, AUS
17 at The Palace in Melbourne, AUS
19 at Metropolis Fremantle in Perth, AUS

I was gutted back in the UK when FF moved their dates from Jan to March. I had already planned to leave the UK on a huge worldwide trip in March and was leaving before the rescheduled dates. As luck would have it, I'm due in Oz in September and I now have a date to aim to be there for. YEESSSS!!!!

FF is quite good live. If I remember correctly I saw them with Throwdown, Children of Bodom and Lamb of God at least a year ago if not more.
However, despite their ability to visually and auditorilly entertain on-stage I refuse to buy another FF album on a whim with the reasoning behind it being: "it's FF, it's sure to be good"... because the last 2 records haven't been, IMO. It really bites to have to screen a band you used to be pretty sure of.

Anyway, to all attending FF in Australia - enjoy the show. I'm sure they'll play some older material.
