Converge Names New Album "No Heroes"

Converge has officially titled their upcoming album "No Heroes." Here's an explanation from the band:
"These days cowards outnumber the heroes, and the begging souls outweigh the calloused hands of the hardest of workers. Both in life and in art, the lack of passion is sickening and the lust for complacency is poisonous. This album is the artistic antithesis of that sinking world, a thorn in the side of their beast. It's for those who move mountains, one day at a time. It's for those who truly understand sacrifice...In our world of enemies, we will walk alone..."
As previously reported, guest appearances will be made on the record by JR Conners (ex-Cave In, now of Doomriders) and Alex Garcia-Rivera (Bloodhorse, ex-454 Big Block, ex-Give Up The Ghost) added a bit of percussion during a recent session. Kurt [Ballou] and Jake [Bannon] also added a bit of percussion as well during that session. Vocally, Jonah Jenkins (Septic Youth Command, ex-Only Living Witness, ex-Miltown, etc.) will be contributing, as well as Kevin Baker (The Hope Conspiracy).
The group, with the guidance of guitarist Kurt Ballou, is engineering and producing the effort themselves. According to the band, "No need to bring anyone else in, not when we have the ability to collectively create the album we artistically envision."
"No Heroes," to be released via Epitaph Records, will consist of roughly thirteen songs.
The band will play material from the new effort during their July stint on the Sounds Of The Underground tour.
