Yeah, I might not recognize some of that if I didn't know it was him. The new range is cool, but I hope we hear the all out screaming as well. I realize they don't want to keep putting out BtP and NAG over and over, but the screaming is so great. Can't wait for the new one. And that site's kinda trippy too.

I think this song is bad ass! I think it shows he has more then a 1 dimensional voice. He's probably evolving as a singer and becoming better at hitting more ranges. I know that Ashes of the Wake wasn't one-dimensional but the other two were. I do like this song and I don't think they're doing it for radio play. Go ahead and criticize me I don't care.

dudes ive never heard one song of these guys played on the radio.and i highly doubt they care whether they are played on the radio or not.and for those of you who say they changed their sound 2 much either dont listen to it or realize change is good because if they didnt it would be exactly like the other records.and that would suck.and this record is going to be the craziest metal record of the year.

ive heard 2 other songs off the record and they are the most brutally heavy songs they have ever written.but if you think redneck is too different you probably wont like the other songs. 2 bad some of you dont understand what a good metal band is supposed 2 sound like.

Well at first I was iffy, but I listened to it a second time and I really thought it was bad ass. People have to realize that all bands change a lil bit every album. Look at the knot, they still will slit your throat just the same even they they have an acoustic guitar in the studio now. But for better or worse, definately this album will be better, alot better, Randy is showing that his voice isn't that of Satan himself, he is infact Randy Blythe. LOG 4 lyfe

i agree with metal2death, if bands didnt progressively add to their sound then people would critizise them for beign repetitive and soundind the same. even with randy's vocal "variation" i can still dead on that its lamb of god if i randomly heard it playing somewhere.

post 18, Don't hate the player hate the game. LOL. Seriously, yesterday I listenend to the 2005 album. I have to say that I liked it a lot. This will be definately worth buying. by the way, this is VICTER, I am too lazy to log in. I also want to add that I am not accusing them of selling out. I agree with posts 14 and 15 on this issue.

i doubt they will sell out, i do think randy will work more now on his vocals (but keep the screamingas well) and last he is workin with the same people that worked with white zombie which would explain why his vocals sounds similar to those of rob zombie and godsmack and such. And who knows we could have a band evolving to be as good or better than pantera and other awsome thrash bands but also with their complex drum fills and signature sounds that made them, them.

I have been a lamb of god fan since burn the priest first came out and i have to say that every cd they put out, just gets better then the last and if this song is just a sample of the new cd, i believe this will go down as one of the best if not the best cds of 2006. (possibly even 2007) this song f***ing rocks guys. keep it up and best of luck.

I'm not saying I didn't like it, it's just a hard turn to the right from the direction they've been going up to now. I'd like songs like this if they're surrounded by songs in the vein of "Palaces" and "Ashes" vocally and instrumentally.
I don't want LOG to turn in the same album every 2 years but I also don't want them to stray to far from what made them so instantly appealing.

after listening to this song a bunch, randy's voice almost reminds me of mr. anselmo......w/ the new vocal style (which even though it is a subtle change takes away from the edge that they had as BTP and on New American Gospel and Palaces) they may have a long career ahead of themselves as the vocal accessability may grab them some new fans.......either way when its all said and done these guys will be mentioned in the same breath as the aforementioned Pantera, but also Slayer, and Metallica as one of the greatest metal bands ever to hail from the good ole USA

Theres a video clip for this song with Blythe stomping around with crew cut just like middle and late era Phil which just adds to the Pantera-eque vocal performance...The music even grooves a bit like Pantera.
Hope theres still some songs that are distinctly LOG like "Ruin" "Now You've got Something to Die For" "Laid to Rest" and "For Your Malice". Classic straightforward American metal in my book.

I personally am not a big fan of "Redneck" but I was taken backstage to hear 2 other songs and they were amazing. They didn't indicate any change in the vocals as does Redneck. They were good old fashion Lamb of God. They haven't changed for the worse, I'll tell you that. If anything people should respect the fact that they have what it takes to change because no matter what they'll always have elements of the Lamb of God we all know, they'll just have a bigger and better range.

Meh. I'm pretty much past LOG these days. What shocked me about this song is Randy's harsh singing. Real singing. When I was obsessed with these guys I'd kill to hear Randy actually sing. I'm gonna try not to judge all new LOG, because I've only heard "Redneck". Though what I can say about that song is that it's a pure pantera rip-off thrown in with their "0r1g1n4l s0und" that is basically made up of recycled pantera and slayer with metalcore technality.
