lots of bands songs sound all the same. but if one persons gets enjoyment from it, and they are making a living they are doing the right thing. example AC/DC. I can comment on this I have been a semi-successful musician for 22 years and I am only 30 years old. insinuwait.com. so if you like them listen, if you don't , don't listen. I like about 5 of their songs and I have them in the playlist. just my two cents.

Tough call Blackdog.
I like Sullys voice better that A7X's singer, and I like Shannon Larkins drumming style alot...Sully used to do the drums for Godsmack despite having a drummer and Larkins style has tweaked Godsmacks sound a notch better....But A7X have a tighter rhythm section all around and more capable/diverse guitarists.
The only Godsmack songs that have ever done anything for me is "Straight Out of Line"and there are certain vocal parts on "I Stand Alone" that bring back good memories from the time when that song was new.
Avenged, despite being a better band technically just repulse me. So Godsmack by a nose....
Best turd in the toilet really.
