Poison Frontman Fears Hitman

The following item was published in the April 2 edition of the New York Post's "Page Six" column:
"Is someone out to get POISON frontman Bret Michaels? On Thursday morning (March 30), the randy rocker was arriving at the Adam Corolla radio show in L.A. for a guest appearance when, as he was pulling into the parking lot on Wilshire and Fairfax, 'his Mercedes was hit with a bullet,' our source said. The window was shattered but Michaels was fine. Just five months ago, the back window of his tour bus was shot out in Springfield, Mass., while he was en route to a show. A rep for Michaels said, 'We're taking this seriously. We'd like to think it was random, but this is the second time this has happened in six months — both times at publicized events.'"
As previously reported, Michaels escaped serious injury after shots were fired at his tour bus on Nov. 21, 2005 in Chicopee, Massachusetts. The singer was in town to perform a rare, invitation-only acoustic show, when, prior to the show, shots were fired from a white Ford F-150 while Michaels was still on the tour bus, according to witnesses. Michaels was struck in the face by flying broken glass, but escaped serious injury. More information on that incident is available here.

1st off nobody deserves this.2nd Whoever this is they are not a Hitman.If they were he'd be dead by now TRUST ME! This is probably some idiot that has a grudge for some reason or another.Maybey someone who used to work for him or someone who's girl he stole or even someone who just hates his music and is takeing it too far.Hell it could just be someone who want's attention(like the bastard that killed John Lennon).Obviously Brett need's to get the police involved.I never met him or any of the guy's in POISON but I know people who have & the rumor is thier pretty cool.And yes C.C. is quite annoying but not a bad guy.

But even then, if I were to enter my normal state of misanthropia as it concerns the music biz... I can imagine a few other people that'd need an assassination well before anybody in Poison. Mainly pop-stars, and any of those so called "hardcore" or "gangsta" rappers. They're like metaphysicians, brain washing the young and highly impressionable with their bullsh** lyrics about sex, guns, and drugs, killing, smoking, and "rollin' on dubs", narcissists, masoginists, materialistic dopes with gold teeth and a bling-lined sphincter... NOW everytime I hear something like that, it's almost as if I enter berzerker mode, the radio's life becomes endangered (*the reason I don't listen to the radio). Poison's never p***ed me off that much with what they've created...
However, to get back on track - where there's an effect there must have been a cause, and if there's a cause there must be a reason in the human realm. Whatever it is it's probably foolish and unjustified.

RATT might not have been true METAL they were still a far cry better than POISON.Hell they are better than alot of band's out right now when you get right down to it.It's all about musicianship and the ability to wright an actual song.Alice Cooper saide it best."I'm constantly haveing new band's bringing me a demo tapes and I'm like OK I GET IT YOU ARE ANGRY BUT WHERE IS THE SONG !"Alot of people don't get that these day's.Don't mock the old school.Most of the band's you listen to wright now count RATT and even POISON as influences.Alot of new band's would not exist if not for old school.

I was not takeing anything away from your statement.I don't consider RATT to be METAL either although I was ounce a big fan.Warren DeMartini is still one of my favorite Guitarist's to this day.Vito Brada was an excellent guitarist as well I say was because I have no idea what he's up to these day's.But you are correct the rest of his band (WHITE LION)sucked.He was the only reason they were listenable if you ask me.The lead singer sounded like he was straining his way threw a power dump.I do agree with You when I think old school Metal I think JUDAS PRIEST, MOTOR HEAD etc.

dude, I don't take anything seriously...lol......but you're right though...I put Warren DeMartini and Vito Bratta into the same category as I put George Lynch and Steve Vai and other awesome guitarists who wasted their talents in groups that clearly sucked. Let's take Vivian Campbell for example....he played some awesome stuff in Dio.....how the hell did he end up in bands like Whitesnake (a Zep rip off) or Def Leppard(pop metal at best)???? That goes for Vai too because he was in WHitesnake too

ditto!!! steve vai & vivian campbell are exellent musicians. never liked ratt though. sounded kinda girly. but, i was more into maiden, motorhead, priest, and the like, back then. i'm hoping to see godsmack this year. i heard them for the first time, just last year. blackdog said they were even better live. can't wait. hopefully, they will play close to the twin cities this year. oh yeah, one more thing, i'm going to see maiden in ireland in december. taking the wife to see our families for christmas. she has no idea i scored tickets. she is going to go crazy. i love surprising her with unique gifts. UP THE IRONS!!!

i've only been around for a short time, doing my best not to piss any one off too much, but i've also known a fundamental thing the enitre time. this is the internet. if you take anything you see on an internest forum to heart you should not have children. relax folks, it should all be in fun. oh and poison, motley crew, and the rest of the hair metal should be left back ion the 80's. that was over a decade ago, it's time to move on.
