Avenged Sevenfold were reportedly locked away in the studio over the weekend recording a song with producer, Terry Date. You can expect the new track to surface this summer.
As previously reported, A7x are co-headlining a North American tour with Coheed and Cambria with support by Head Automatica and Eighteen Visions (one or the other). They are also going to be playing a number or dates and festivals alongside Metallica and Guns N Roses this summer. Here are the confirmed tour dates:

This Band Has A lot Of talent. Of course it is wasted on Boy George Influenced sh**ty Pop Version of metal. I think they Could Have been the next Bad a$$ metal Band to take the throne of metal Now that Dime Is Gone(R.I.P. Dime). Matt deis of CKY said that the band never does anything they say they do while they're on tour. things such as going to strip clubs, or getting laid every night. since CKY was on tour with them, cky knew everything that the band did since they were together. "all the do after the show is run off to their tour bus and avoid their fans" WHICH IS SO f***ING TRUE.
I went to many a7x concerts, and right after the show they ran off stage, f***ing avoiding their fans. why do they f***ing care about their fans? ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY.
want another example? on of their fans had a backstage pass, and went backstage. as he went towards the dressing rooms he saw matt sanders and he said "WHO THE f*** ARE YOU WITH KID?" and he got SO hurt. the only person he got to meet after running back was johnny, who was nice to him. all the other members were with groupies and didnt want to see their fans AT ALL.

I agree with you but here is my point..you don't have to care whether or not a band makes a living but I'm sure that is somewhere in their minds because whether people like it or not, being a musician is a chosen profession..that is what they do for a living. No matter how cool a band is with their fans, or how much they love music and touring..not being able to pay your bills sucks. Also..yeah, they talk a lot of sh**..I don't take myself serious either so I feel you on that..I think they would have a great to good following whether or not they acted this way..I find that to me their attitude is justified seeing that they are all really good musicians..I don't think they believe 100% of what they say and that a majority of it is an act..I do think they are a pretty heavy band..no they are not Slipknot heavy or Cradle of Filth heavy or anything like that..but as far as radio play goes I enjoy their music far more than hearing Fallout Boy or Good Charlotte..Christ man I listen to just about any type of music whether it's heavy or not..or even if it has no structure (huge Patton fan), people need to just listen to what they like..b**** or praise where they feel needed and not get offended when not everyone in the world likes the same band or sees the same thing in them that they do..it's pitiful. The string and choir arrangements are completely badass on this album too if you are a fan of any of the music you hear in Tim Burton flicks by Danny Elfeman. This album has a lot to offer a lot of people..except those that are turned off by singing too easily. Their live show is bad ass. I'm going to watch the Highlander and eat my damn pot pie. I'm done with this.
