Summary of metal band and label signings.

• Altanta, Georgia's Mastodon have signed with Relapse Records. Mastodon includes ex-members of Today Is The Day, Lethargy, and Social Infestation. The band's debut MCD "Lifesblood" will be available in late August. The album's tracklisting: "Shadows That Move," "Welcoming War," "We Built This," Come Death," "Hail To Fire," and "Battle At Sea."
  
• HALO signs to Relapse Records. HALO is R. Allen & S. Klein from Australia. Halo create 'maximum post-industrial noisecore dirge.' Some have compared them to a bastardised mixture of early Swans, Godflesh, Disembowelment, and Neurosis. HALO's "Guattari (From the West Flows Grey Ash & Pestilence)" will be available in September.
  
• Israeli band Rabies Caste have signed to Earache Records. They will release new album 'Let the Soul Out And Cut The Vain' in August. It was produced by Harvey Birrell (Therapy?, Dub War).
