What they should have done is re-recorded it with Howard...then maybe it would be worth having. Not like it would take much to do that...they already did one track. I bet fans would have been more excited about that...I know I would have. I might still get it...MIGHT.

Fixation On The Darkness and My Last Serenade (particularly the latter) are highly enjoyable songs. other than that, it's not an album i'd really bother with. i wont be getting this re-release of theirs. not for two or three songs. i actually think KsE are one of the bands that are really getting a lot better as time passes. which is good considering bands like static-x have gotten less and less good with every album.

Like poster 2 - I don't really care for re-releases. I prefer originals, but to each their own. I mean, if I didn't already have the album I'd almost automatically buy the re-issue, but I have this one, and I had the self-titled well before that too was re-issued.
I think that they (just like Zombie) should get it into gear and produce some new sh**. That's what I'm waiting to spend my money on.

Most of the metal-core bands leave alot to be desired. KSE do not. They have impressed me with each album. I'm more of a fan of the 2 Jesse Leech era disks than the Howard Jones disk but it's all good stuff, and I must say Jones' vocal performance is somehow improving, The Roadrunner United track "The Dagger" was quite a compelling arguement to not lose complete faith in RR records or the metalcore crowd.

I liked the Ferret re-release.
This article is addressing the second album, "Alive or just breathing" which share several of the same songs...Theres more energy on tracks like "Vida Infra" and "Numbered Days" on the Ferret album in my opinion. Jesse Leech sounds more angry and desperate to the point of violence.
good stuff.
